They could have varied the production and put a couple more songs. THis album is different from most drug \ gangster rap.
Release Date November 19, 1996
Wow it's hard to believe that this album came out 10 years ago already, I was just going through my CD collection yesterday and I was playing this and it still sounds just as live as it did when I first heard it back then, my favorite tracks on here are "Gotta Get You Home", "Ill Na Na", "Foxy's Bells", "I'll Be", and "If I", I really hope that she could get past all of her troubles off the mic and put out another album 'cause she's one of the best female rappers ever, much love Foxy keep ya head up baby

In terms of classic albums, Busta came back with a 5-Mic classic!!!! This is his best album BAR NONE!!!! Production? Dr Dre is at the helm...so how could the production NOT be hot?? It's genetically impossible!! Busta Rhymes is in Leaders of the New School mode (well, almost)....you can literally hear a different vibe in him as he's rhyming. Its fun to him again, and you can hear it in his lyrics and his presentation. His two previous albums were laborious and lifeless. I had no intention of even getting this album BASED on his two previous showings...quite frankly, I thought he lost it. But then I heard "Touch It"....WHOA!!! I thought, well anybody can get lucky (even his last two had at least ONE joint worth listening to). Then I heard ... Read More:

my favorite album is Legend, but i enjoy this one as well. there will never be another Bob Marley, but i feel this was a great effort by everyone involved to bring a new sound to his music.
Release Date August 19, 2003
Just like others, when I saw the "Hot Damn" video by the Clipse and the "Frontin'" video with Pharrell and Jay-Z, I couldn't wait to get my hands on this. I remember buying it the sunday before it was supposed to come out. To tell you the truth, I wasn't very happy with this album.
Production is okay at best. Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo do a decent job keeping the production together, like as I mentioned earlier, the song "Frontin'". Also the Busta Rhymes song "Light Your [...] On Fire" carries a nice beat. But songs like "Popular Thug" with Nas and Kelis, and "Blaze Of Glory" is not what I expected from this duo.
The biggest problem on this album is the lyrics. Some of these artists sound like they wrote their rhymes on a bad day. The ... Read More:

It's amazing how the message has been twisted. If you want to see how spoken word (rap) started, get this. The style, force, intensity, creativity, passion and truth of 'the Last Poets' is unmistakable.
After 'Fear of a Black Planet', by Public Enemy...the path diverged with the emphasis being placed on common, egotistical, pornographical, sexist, tripe by the corporate powers that be. Artists that wanted to focus on uplifting, educational, inspirational offerings were ignored, while those that focused on garbage were promoted...the weak, are STILL scared of revolution.

Juelz Santana is the future of the Diplomats and he shows that he has a bright future ahead of him with his debut solo. Juelz touches on a variety of topics and styles in this record and he does it well. His different style and catchy phrases and sounds all work well together. This may be the best debut hip-hop album in the past few years.
top tracks:

2-wherever i go (f. jim jones)
3-rain drops
4-one day i smile
5-this is for my homies (f. jim jones)
