Rock has always been one of my favorite members of the Boot Camp Click. He blends skills, flow, charisma and punchlines into great songs. The voice stands out in the group too. Anyway, I love this CD because he is rapping over great beats. BCC has great production, but this time he is rapping of some of the more popular beats and has a new producer name Double Up doing the new production on the CD. One of my favorites is 300 BC, where he flows over Fat Joe's song 300 Brolic. "Rockzilla" is another Favorite. I listened to this CD 3 times consecutively, which is hard to do with most of the stuff out there today. I definitely recommend this CD.

The Cappatalize Project

I've always been a fan of Cappadonna since "Ice Cream"-but I must admit, I didn't know what to expect with this "Cappitalize Project".

Suprisingly, Cappadonna drops a pretty solid album this time around. I bought the album and every time I spin it, I like it more and more!
Cappa adds some personal & spiritual topics along with a mixture of some hood/uplifting beats.

What can I say that countless other reviewers have not? If you consider yourself a true Hip Hop fan, you must have this album. Since I was only six when this album came out, I was introduced to rap by Eminem in High School. All I knew was what I heard on the radio until I started buying CDs. At one point I was in the music store and found two CDs at a good price: Illmatic - the platinum version and Get Rich or Die Tryin. I had to make a choice between the two. I made the right choice and picked Illmatic based on good reviews I read here on Amazon. At first I did not get the hype, it all went straight over my head. Once in My life (the 90's to be accurate) I listened to nothing but hip-hop. That period is over a long while ago, and lot's of the albums I owned I couldn't listen to ever again! One of the great exceptions is the debut of Wu-Tang Clan, that really holds up well more than ten years later. What I really liked about their music, and still does, is not only their quirky idea of sampling sound-bits from chop-sockey films. It was even more their minimalistic, raw and kinda gritty sound. Most of the tracks were made of only one small sample and a drum beat. And all of the rappers are good, and could deliver some surprising kicking lyric. I've been waiting for an album like this for a long time now. I'm surprised there aren't any reviews in for it but I'm happy to be the first. I can't be the only one who's enjoying this record. Everyone seems to be on the Genius's new album Pro Tools. Haven't got that one yet but I'll have it in a few days. Anyway I.A. Dap is simply excellent from start to finish. If you were a fan of Group Home then you should enjoy this album. The overall feel of this album is dark and grimey with a couple of upbeat tracks thrown in. This album should be listened to alone at night to really enjoy and absorb it best. At least turn off all the lights when you bump it. 5 stars- Classic, Album goes beyond description, Perfect in every way, Could remind you of a certain time or place, Lifetime replay value.
4.5 stars- Near Classic, Incredible album, Maybe only one song that is skippable or just overall doesn't quite deserve classic status. High replay value.

The Sun Rises in the East

With DJ Premier handling the production i knew the album would be dope. You dont even have to be a good rapper when DJ Premier is on the boards, case and point Livin' Proof but unlike Group Home Jeru can really rap. Lyrically he can hold is own which is why this is such a dope album. When listening to this album you well find nothing needs to be skipped. You Cant Stop The Prophet has an interesting concept and Da Bit&hes has a nice laid back beat. Mental Stamina is probably my favorite song followed closely by Come Clean and Jungle Music. There is really not much to say about this album other then pick it up, everything is where it belongs.

this album is definently a lyrical punch in the face.while both of them go together like bread and butter,the show stealer has to go to redman.his lyrics will make you go daaaaammmmmn!!!!but dont get me wrong meth is real dope too and the music production is on point.i listen to this album constantly because it reminds you of what real mcs are and makes you forget about these dance instructor rapppers.
