I purchased this to REPLACE my vinyl and old scratched up CD versions. Yes, I own the original vinyl AND the original CD release. I love the music. I wanted to finally add it to my MP3 collection of which I actually BUY all the music in. Oh, and I don't give copies away like the music companies say we all do......... anyhow, I bought this only to find that it's full of copy protection crap. So much in fact that this thing it totally useless to me. Instead of a happy moment I ended up with frustration. I wanted to put the thing on my iPod but no, I'm not "allowed" to do that. As i said, I now own 3 copies of this which I purchased. Nice to be punished. Anyhow, I'm sending it back and I'll rip from the other that I have or better yet, download ... Read More:

I'm convinced that when Steve Helstrip did Vol. 1, his intention was to shake up the global Trance scene and leave the biggest mark possible. Not only did he do that, but he's also been building up steam and getting better with each NightMusic release that followed. Even the album art of all three are as great as the music inside. This one has even more of the sound that I've always been into (especially that PVD-esque beat-skip in Miracle Cure at the 2:55 point). To me it's one of the best Trance compilations I've ever picked up. He better be one of the top-ranked Trance producers if the fans know what's good for them. ..Can't wait to see what Vol. 4 is gonna be like...

This the third Brazilian Girls CD is another evolution for them - just as much as Jique was compared to their Brazilian Girls debut album. Words and music have gone from dreamy/introspective and infused with sex (debut), to edgy/political (Jique) to, in this case, verging on obscure. Established BG fans like me will keep listening to it, and it does grow on you - but not without effort. If you have had someone say to you, "Brazilian Girls are great - check them out", I'd strongly recommend that you start with one or the other of their first two CD's. As always, in order to really like these guys, you have to have fairly eclectic musical taste and internationalist tendencies - lyrics are in English here, in French, Italian, German or Spanish there, often within the same ... WHOA. Did I read that somebody skips-over "Inertia Creeps (#4)??"
Wow. That's pretty crazy, given that "Inertia Creeps" is one of the dopest songs on Mezzanine. It's like being in a knock-down-drag-out fist-fight in slow motion. What's not to like about that?
AND people down-grading "Black Milk?" What are you guys thinking?

#7 "Man Next Door" is my least likeable, but overall this album is epic as far as 90's music goes. Well yeah, it's pretty epic overall.

And seriously, give 100th Window more of a try. Songs like "Future Proof" and "Special Cases" are vintage Massive Attack. Period.

Well this offering starts of strong but has a few slow moments particularly the ballads were hard to get into. I had been recommended this from Amazon although I really have not been following this group consistently. I am familiar with some of their popular tunes. I agree with the reviewer who stated more instruments/instrumentals would have made the CD more lively. Step Aside really got the joint of to a good start.

This is a GREAT album and if you're an Enigma fan you will already know that almost ALL of their CDs have ONE main 'tune' or melody that Cretu arranges/mixes in many different ways. I find myself humming one arrangement and skipping to parts of another track on the same CD. They blend together naturally. That's also the reason why most of the tracks continue on right into each other-without pauses in between.

There is definitely a 'Cosmos' feel....i.e. futuristic/other-worldly feel to this CD.

Not only is the movie one of my faves but so is the soundtrack. I have an addiction to buying soundtracks and this one tops the list of my many. Its so good I'm using a few of the tracks for my wedding.

I got hooked on Azam Ali the same way I go hooked on Loreena McKennit - I heard the sound of her voice and immediately had to track down who it was. This of course led me to find her numerous projects. Azam has an unmistakeable voice and Niyaz is a fantastic mixture of her voice with the abilities of Loga Ramin Torkian. They are well complimented by the quality of production brought to the mix by Carmen Rizzo (Seal).

Turkish, Persian, and Indian influences abound on this album. Mix it up with the subtle elements of trance and you have a one of a kind sound called Niyaz.
