Mary J. Blige has the 4-1-1 on how to create a CD that will become an all-time classic. Yes, Mary has a soulful way of connecting to every woman's suffering and moves you to shout "you go girl!"

Schnauss fuses combinations of ethereal synth pads and overboosted electric guitar chords to deliver angelic yet funky and powerful compositions. Most of his tracks are what I like to call "Building" tracks. He'll begin with a minimalist beat, or no beat at all, and build his pieces to emotionally charged crescendos of bliss. Vocals, both male and female are limited, for the most part to roles of "effect" and "accent" to keep the listener grounded and connected to his work. I detect little evolution in the Ulrich Schnauss' style from one CD to the next. Whereas with other artist you might not get what you expected from one CD to the next, with A Strange Isolated Place, if you liked Goodbye, you'll like this collection of his music as well. ... It's been a few years since its release, but this is THE Enigma CD, from the trilogy it's the best, it's full of Enigma's 'trademarks' such as the Shakuhachi flute and Gregorian monk chants; and songs such as "Beyond the Invisible' and 'TNT for the Brain' will blow your mind, there's not one song in this CD that is not worth listening to, it's a winner in every way, just like in MCMXC and 'The Cross of Changes', Le Roi Est Mort, Vive Le Roi! brings back the joyful and Gothic motif [I'm talking from the middle ages not the 'new' Gothic] Enigma has always put in its music. Michael Cretu is a musical genius!

If you enjoy listening to Jarre (especially Equinox and Oxygene), then I highly recommend Far Away Trains Passing By. My favorite track is the "Passing By" which starts off innocently enough but then continually weaves in sonic magic over the length of the song. Now, I'm off to plug-in, close my eyes, and dream of far away places ...

I already had most of these songs but I had to get this. Both discs are amazing and the DVD is pretty cool. You can tell these guys are passionate about their music and they care about their artists and fans. I just wish they had put more concert footage at clubs and at the Rio New Year's thing. I suggest getting the other Anjunabeats compilations, especially Vol. 6 which is banging. Go to the website and check out the other artists. Get The Thrillseekers Nightmusic 3

The CD's I purchase although appearing brand new and packaged as such both skipped, repeating a portion of the track over and over.
I suppose this may happen but I have not experienced this it all my other purchases of music.
As to the content on other tracks; interesting interpretation of the great Cole Porter.

Well, damn. I can't say much more about this album; I was looking for a killer followup to Hold Your Colour, with all of that classic Pendulum spice and energy. I was expecting new and inventive beats, no matter what direction they went in; I was expecting a beautifully polished shaped piece of work, weaving in subtle layers to produce a deliciously tasty whole. I'd heard that Pendulum had changed styles, gone in a different direction, and I came in thinking that whatever they did, they'd make it rock just as hard as Hold Your Colour.
But sadly, I didn't get a lick of that from this album. I listened to it through a couple times, and I got --- well, I'm not sure how to describe what kind of a letdown this album was. The style isn't offensive, ... Read More:

I wanted this CD again so badly but I did not want to pay what the stores were charging. I went to amazon knowing I could find a buyer selling this cheap, well I got what I paid for the CD came in a clear CD case with no front cover. I'm a person that keeps the cases and stores my CD on a rack so needless to say don't buy from the seller I brought mine from.

BLACK CHERRY is one of those rare albums where I initially didn't care for it but later on in life loves it. I first discovered Golfrapp through television. FELT MOUNTAIN is one of my personal favorite trip hop albums of all time. I loved the lush, orchestral melodies of the album. So when the time came for Goldfrapp to release their follow up album BLACK CHERRY, I wasn't too keen on the group's sudden change in their sound from trip hop to electro-clash.
After falling in love with the group's music again with SEVENTH TREE, I decided to check out BLACK CHERRY again. This time time around I have learned to appreciate and love BLACK CHERRY. BC is definitely a precursor to their next album SUPERNATURE with their mix of catchy electro-pop songs as well as SEVENTH ... Read More:
