I've been a Beck fan since Mellow Gold came out. And I'm probably one of the few Beck fans that thinks Mellow Gold was not one of his better albums (aside from maybe 5 songs on it.) I loved Odelay (who didn't?) and I dug a lot of his work on Mutations and The Information...but in my opinion this is his most complete album out of them all. Odelay is close but even it had a little filler injected in it. I bought this CD in 05' right after it was released (2nd day in fact) and I still love it now as much as I did the first time I heard it. It still gets regular play in my CD player and hasn't grown old on me at all. It starts off great with E-Pro and just keeps going like a runaway train. Jamas hago reviews de discos, no me llama la atención hacerlas; pero habiendo comprado y escuchado este último disco de Juana Molina, me veo en la obligación de decir que es una obra maestra, no puedo quedarme callado esta vez; ya son 5 los discos que esta enorme artista le ha dado al mundo y no llega a tener el reconocimiento que se merece.

Este disco y los anteriores demoran muchisimo en editarse en su propio país, y eso da la pauta de lo poco que se valora a esta genia.

Con respecto al disco en cuestión... es una belleza, como los anteriores, para escuchar sentado tranquilo, para sumergirse en las melodías, para tratar de interpretar las letras.

If you already own anything by these guys then you'll recognize the sound. This album grows a little bit more than previous releases. A lot more layering. Lots of reversed tracks to make for an eerie feel.

Overall positive vibe for the album. I still listen to it a few times a week.

So, if you haven't heard, NKOTB are back and have a new album, "The Block", coming out on September 2nd. I'm going to see them on Tour. Surprisingly, my love for them is back and apparently never died. I really regret that I didn't buy this CD 14 years ago. I was too embarrassed because they weren't "cool" anymore.
By FAR their best work. The whole album is good. Yes, it has a 90's vibe to it but that's when it came out. As I listened I kept thinking...these could easily be Boyz II Men songs. The Boyz were huge in the mid nineties so that says a lot. Vocally, it's their strongest and style wise, their most mature. It has been awhile since I listened to Amethystium. I admit I only own the first Amethystium cd ODONATA which I love. I finally am starting to play catch up with the new cd ISABLISS. ISABLISS is pure bliss for my ears. The blend of new age and ambient music, coupled with ethereal female vocals made ISABLISS an intoxicating listening experience for my ears. I find the music has a particular calming and soothing effect on me after a long day at the office. The mix of ambient, new age, and pop music has a very dreamlike sound reminiscent of Sleepthief, Delerium, and Conjure one with a dash of classical music thrown in.
