After I heard this album is coming, I thought it would be as good as the first four Enigma albums I thought Enigma was back but like E5 and E6 there are just 1-2 good songs in it other song are just "boom boom" no melody, no "music" just some basses that's all.
In my opinion, there are just 2 good songs in Seven lives many faces: La puerta Del cielo and The same parents, others are just fillers there is nothing musical in them, no musical "textures" no atmosphere, nothing. I think even 8 years old ordinary kid can compose that kind of "boom boom" and empty music.

After seeing the movie Mama Mia, I had to get the ABBA greatest hits CD. I wasn't disappointed. The movie was great, but the original songs, sung by the originals, ABBA, was wonderful.

Wow! Forget the people who can't get past the fact that these guys are old now! This album is way cool! Most tracks are funky, good beats and have mean collaborations with some of the 'new' artists today. If you are going to have a comeback album there is probably no better way to do it than this!

Yes I have admired Raphael Saadiq for years for being different, having a different sound. You know a neo-soul artist before everyone else was flooding the airways "trying" to be different. I was caught by one song but then when I purchased the CD it was just more of the same. Yeah he brought back that Motown sound but he didn't switch it up AT ALL. It was like listening to the same song over and over but maybe just a different version of it. In one word: DISAPPOINTED!

This cd was entirely better than their first one. Alot of catchy tracks. Yet after watching how horribly Nicole "really" does sing...it kind of turned me off. If you watch any of her performances on youtube...she sucks at all of them...she cant hit any note right on...ugh!!!! but as for the cd...it's a pretty good pop cd....with all the fixing of the computer generated voices ha.

Just listened (twice) to the album I got a hold of after hearing a cut on RadioParadise.com, and IT'S FANTASTIC! A real mix of synthesized, reggae/world beat, and one song has a bit of jazz to it. All bring joy to my spirit. Just great listening.
I've only listened to a bit of TC before, 2 or 3 CD's. Couple really great songs, but overall nothing I'd plunk out my hard earned money for...until now. I'm on Amazon ordering my own copy of the CD, so I can have the best quality AND let TC know...this is what I like!
I'm going back to see if I've missed some other really great TC, as one reviewer suggests.

M.I.A.'s sophomore album "Kala" continues some of what people knew her to be during the first album. This is still dance stuff, filled with certain samples that range from monotonous to interesting, with all kinds of tracks. And what separates her from many at times is the bigger use of world/tribal sounds at times. I am not as big on this album as others but it doesn't mean that they're wrong or anything.
The "low" (for some) rating has more to do with it being a mixed bag for my money than anything else. It's an album where a lot of the more listenable moments come later rather than in the first half. "Paper Planes" is understandably the hit here, with a sample of the Clash's guitars and awesome gunshots used in the chorus. The sound effects actually ... Read More:

I'm a fan of Jems first CD Finally Woken, but this was almost painful. This album just seems to lay there, while trying too hard at too many styles. This is a classic example of a sophomore slump, no doubt about it. A four year wait, for this? Well, at least they got the title right.

Once more Madonna brings another album that shows that she really has a flawless talent. Every album that she records takes us on a tour of a renovated Madonna but obviuosly, with her same roots.
Her previous album "Confessions on a dance floor" from my point of view was one of her greatest productions, (I found "American life" not good).
"Hard candy" has a more commercial sound. It has contribuitions of big names in the american music business such as Pharrell Willimas, Timbaland, Kanye West and Justin Timberlake. All the songs sound fresh and have great rhythms. The opennig track, "Candy shop" gives the album's tittle and is fun. My favorite track on this album is "Give it 2 me" next to Pharrell. It is a song that makes you feel like deancing, another great tune is ... Read More:

Upon my first listen or two of Third, I didn't think it was that much of a progression from their debut, Dummy, nor their self-titled sophomore album. But I've come to realize I was ever so wrong.
The dark, sexy vibe that Portishead pulled off before is now just, well, dark. Extremely eerie, and very sinister. Their music used to sound like something you'd hear in a smoky and dingy underground club at 3 a.m. with others around smoking, talking, and maybe even dancing. Third sounds like something you'd listen to alone in a dark and musty basement of an abandoned building with one hanging light bulb flickering on and off.
There is definitely a Silver Apples influence here, and it makes me salivate. I love the Silver Apples, but Portishead takes their template ... Read More:
