I didn't realize T.G. Sheppard had all these hits - this CD took me back quite a few years and brought back some great memories. Favorite tracks are "Somewhere Down The Line," "Only One You," and "I'll Be Coming Back For More." Great CD - listen to it often.

I received the CD Tex Ritter Greatest Hits within a week of ordering. The sound is great. My best liked is "Have I Told You LatelyThat I Love You" and "There's A New Moon Over My Sholder". Just like I rembened on raido in the old days. These CD's I can not find in the stores and glad I found them on Amazon.com Earler I orded "The Essential Roy Accuf" and enjoyed such songs as "Great Speckle Bird" and "Wreck on The Highway" which my fokes had on old 78 RPM records in the 1940's and the records are no longer. At the same time I orded "The Best Of Ernest Tub The Millennium Collection" and all good songs like "Walking The Floor Over You. All have very good sound. They came in two packages on different days. For thosr who lived the 1930's 40's 50's and ... Read More:

During the 1980's one of my favorite country songs was Mel McDaniels version of Old Man River ( I've come to talk again) not to be confused with the 1940's pop song. I had two or three casettes featuring this tune all through the decade, and now,I am thrilled to have it once again in my collection. His other top hits are here as well such as Stand Up, Big Old Brew and the infectuous Baby's Got Her Blue jeans On. Man, the memories that one brings back. Besides my old favorite "River" the most beautiful song here is one I had never heard before called Do You Want To Say Goodbye. For those of us who grew up listening and dancing to Haggard, Waylon, Moe Bandy and so many others and have never really warmed up to Toby, Shania, etc. this ones for us.

"The Tour Collection" is a limited edition 4CD set to celebrate Dolly's current tour of Europe. What makes this one interesting is that there aren't a lot of hits on here. You won't find "9 to 5", "Here You Come Again", "Jolene" or any of the other hits that fill up most collections. Instead what you get are a ton of album cuts with a few hits thrown in here and there. The set is split into four discs, "Love", "Covers", "Mountain Memories" and "Duets". The Duets disc is the most interesting in that combines tracks that had guests singing with her and tracks in which she was the guest. As a result you get tracks that only appeared on the other artists albums.
What I like about this collection is that doesn't focus on the hits, it's got a bunch of obscure ... Read More:

I grew up listening to my pop singing cowboys songs in his old pickup. The radio only worked part of the time, the rest of the time he sang. There's a lot of old cowboy songs in my collection that mostly came from his collection. As most things happen a good friend suggested Ian Tyson. This CD looked to be the most appropriate place to start with so I bought it. It's been a long time since I heard some of these classics and Ian does them all justice. I can't get over how his own material blends so seamlessly with the traditional classics. To pick a favorite would be to leave out a dozen other tracks. The only track of the 19 I ever skip is "Tom Blasingame." I was blastin' down a country road the other day in Dad's old truck singing "Whoopee Ti Yi Yo" with Ian Tyson ... Read More:
