My Son loves this CD. I know because he asks me to put it on everytime we get into the car. Luckily, I like it too. It's so cute, and not irritating at all. And the songs are really catchy so you'll be singing along with your kids.

Before I set down my comments on this 3-disc set I read carefully through the other reviews and while couldn't disagree with the first few 5-star posts, I had made up my own mind that this didn't quite fill the bill for that maximum rating. I had also begun to form the essence of my review when I came to that by Greg Brady, and wouldn't you know it, he essentially (no pun intended) took the words right out of my mouth regarding this so-called "essential" collection. One of at least three on the market purporting to be the essential Johnny Cash collection.

I realize that trying to come up with 75 tracks for an artist with 135 Country hit singles (123 to the end of 1983 - the period covered here), to go along with almost countless memorable ... Read More:

I got to tell ya, I love The Mandrell Sisters; Barbara, Irlene, and Louise. Who have all made it successfully in the music business at one time or another. Irlene for her dumb blonde routines on Hee Haw and the Mandrells show, Barbara for her ultimate and untimely voice, and last but never the least, Louise. I always go for the underedog, or not so viewed artist. And Louise has simply done it in that realm. I still remember each and every song heard on TV and radio.. just as it were yesterday. From "GOODBYE HEARTACHE" to "MAYBE MY BABY" to "RUNAWAY HEART" which Louise has sertainly done with me. Makes me want to shout out "I WANNA SAY YES!!" Yes!! Yes!!, Buy this Anthology cd. You will not be disapointed!

Great Records Of The Decade: 70's Hits, Vol. 1 is a budget priced CD geared toward casual fans of `70s music or people who are just discovering this type of music. The quality of what we get is rather good and the sound quality is very good.

Debbie Boone starts off the CD with a very sweet, passionate number, "You Light Up My Life." Debbie sings this with all her heart and soul and to this day it remains one of my favorite love songs. The musical arrangement lacks nothing--it's THAT good. The Bellamy Brothers switch gears with "Let Your Love Flow;" this rockin' tune mixes rock and country to produce a fabulous sound. I love it! The percussion is great and they never sounded better.
