I enjoyed it throughly. The jokes and singing was even better when I saw it on video. It made the CD worth while. I recommend this to those who loved to see the Statler Brothers. It made made me miss their show even more. I give it a 5 stars.

During one Sunday afternoon, I had the television on to CMT watching the top 20 songs when the infomercial for this album came on. While I love all of the songs, I will say that I am not crazy about all of the country updates. Overall, I would buy the album again because there are enough songs that I enjoy that would entice me to be interested in purchasing it.

Discussed by phone a problem with trying to order this product from Hastings, which was entirely dissatisfactory.
My only suggestsion is that you make your toll free number more accessible.
The item turned out to be on sale,so I got it for much less expensive than I would have. It was a replacement, since I lost my original copy bought in 2004, and I treasure it for sentimental reasons besides loving the music, so I was very impressed with ordering it, and did so immediately after talking with your agent. He even credited my account $5.00 for my experience with Hastings, and said he took notes.
Ultimately Hastings did credit my return of their sending me the wrong product, I have to say, in a timely matter, so that ... Read More:

I am not normally a huge fan of hymns. I love contemporary Christian music, but also enjoy the occasional hymn.
This particular collection is great. The selected songs are mostly classics in this genre. They are sung by an American cultural icon who had a significant spiritual journey himself. They were recorded close to the end of his life. These also have a common theme: Looking forward to eternal life after leaving this one. He had indicated that this was his favorite of the numerous albums that he recorded.
These songs came from Johnny's mother's cherished hymn book. He had grown up hearing her play these often. For anyone who grew up listening to and singing hymns, many of these will likely be quite familiar.

This is a superior, sublime country/bluegrass gospel album, featuring bluegrass superstar Ricky Skaggs and his extended family, his wife Sharon White and her sister Cheryl, and father Buck White, who have recorded with him quite a bit over the years. The White Family have been recording great music for over three decades, but their own albums are mostly out of print and hard to find, so it's always a treat when Ricky Skaggs gives them a platform to show their lovely, old-fashioned family-based harmony style. It's a nice, nostalgic sound, recalling the early roots of country music from the 1920s, '30s and '40s, when this kind of open-hearted sincerity was still common. Gospel fans will be delighted at this sweet-sounding set (although some secular-minded ... Read More:
