Not being a big fan of Wilco's earlier work I am some what pestimistic when Wilco bring a new release. I have to say that since Foxtrot Hotel they just keep getting better and better. I am not going to name off great tracks on this album or put others down. It's just solid don't cherry pick the songs. Just let them play. I work in a Hair Salon and we play this album alot and every one ask who is this? No matter what age you are or what music you like this album is just good music and it speaks to you. Just buy it

Fabulous from start to end. Especially if you like to hear musical traditions fused (which any Bela fan is used too), this is a can't miss album.

"Heavier Things" is John Mayer's second studio album which was released on September 9th of 2003. The style on this album is soft-rock, as this comes from a period before he transitioned into blues. The album consists of 10 tracks, including the Grammy award winning "Daughters". The title of the album appears to be an answer for those who criticized Mayer's music as being too light.
The album opens with "Clarity", a song for which the meaning is not all that clear, but in general it seems to be about Mayer's self-perception. The second track is "Bigger than My Body" which is about the frustration of not being able to accomplish in reality what one wants to do in their mind, and in particular relates to John Mayer's desire to write more meaningful ... I loved Bramble Rose so I was glad to get this new CD and I am not disappointed at all. In fact, I love this CD. Her voice shines on certain tracks, like Another Country and Broken, and delivers solid performances on I Know What I'm Looking for Now and Keep You Happy. Her lyrics have matured with her and are quite often moving and thought provoking. It's a great listen and I play it in the car each day. I don't care much for the french language song, but I'm sure it pays homage to her year in Paris and has a personal meaning for her. The rest of the songs are wonderful.

It isn't definitive. Not by a long shot. I mean, it only covers the early phase of Dylan's career, starting with a cut from The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan (1963) and ending with a selection from Blonde On Blonde (1966). And even then, it hardly tells the full story: Bob Dylan's early days were as tumultuous and groundbreaking as anything else in the history of popular music, a heady period which saw him evolve from an idealistic young folk troubadour to rock `n' roll's cynical poet laureate. Dylan was discovering his voice and developing his genius all the while, in the process creating some of the greatest music ever. A measly ten-song tracklisting doesn't even scratch the surface. Twenty wouldn't come close. No collection of mid 60s Dylan is complete without "Tombstone ... Read More:

With new albums since this this one came out, it is a great one for the collection, but there will nothing on it from Licence to Chill or Take the Weather With You. Still, this is a must have for any fan, as it covers all his best, and some of the lesser known (but golden) songs.

So some of the songs are truncated. I don't care! Country music is not a genre with a definite pattern in the composition like concerti and symphonies. It was difficult to get all those 50 hits on two discs, and I appreciate the effort.
When I'm riding down the road and listening to George Strait, I enjoy his own unique style with a hint of the rhythm that Johnny Cash used and a big dose of the melancholy that made us all love George Jones. Then I hear some novelty country Western tune from back in the 1980's, and I'm smiling again.
George Strait is the kind of male singer that makes a woman feel good. When we women listen to him, we can think about the men in our lives. His songs convey an appreciation and love for women. I don't know of anyone ... Read More:

Wow! I waited several decades for an Ashton Shepherd to arrive and she's here! She has roots in the depths of humanity and a strong, clear and unspoiled voice for moving us to laugh, cry and celebrate life. At first blush, comparing her with Edith Piaf might seem ridiculous. The two look, act and sing in much different ways. Where they seem alike is in their ability to project intense feelings. I believe all the tracks of this disk deserve five stars. Tracks 9 (How Big Are Angel Wings) and 11 (Whiskey Won the Battle) rise above this. Both tracks are as capable of bringing strong men to their knees weeping as Edith Piaf's Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien. I hope and pray that Ashton can avoid the pitfalls of fame and cling to her mental and physical health so we can enjoy her voice for ... Read More:
