Hugely influencial folk/rock/country/harmony pop album of some brilliance. Still affecting new creations like Triumph Unseen by Nick Worrall or the new Fleet Foxes releases in a more or less direct way this album deserves its place in the catalogue of greats. Melodic, moody, creative and very harmonious it soothes and excites at the same time. Unforgettable.

I really love these girls and the songs on this album are incredible. Even if you don't like country I think you can find something to enjoy on this album. The songs are full of hope about love and happiness and they make me happy when I listen to them. I often have to stop what I'm doing just to listen to a song. Despite what their political history is...they are amazing and incredible artists that can't be denied - give this album a chance if you want to hear some lovely tunes.

I love his warm and shivering voice and I find it happy and amazing that his Family still play with him. There will be compilations of his 80 years anniversary, however, his speed of releasing albums is too fast and it will get to be more and more difficult to compile his tunes into anyone's favorites. He will never have any trip to Japan because of the strict examination for entry. I wish I would see his concert.

This recording is part of my family history. While my father was soldier in the Vietnam War, my mother sent him a copy of this album. It's taken me 40 years to give this piece of material a serious listening and it is quite outstanding. Bob Dylan is a folk singer in the tradition of Woody Guthrie and Pete Seeger but transcends that: not just because he embraced elements of rock-n-roll, but rather because he is the poet of his times and his country. He understands America in a way that Walt Whitman and Emerson once did.

His lyrics are cryptic, yet descriptive of certain moods and feelings. Dylan says what he feels without exactly saying so. It is the essence of poetry. There is also a great deal of humor in his words, as well as, a certain pathos. ... Read More:

Alison's perfect and soft voice is exceptional! My favorite song on this album is "When You Say Nothing at All" so there was no hesitation in chosing this song for our wedding. As I walked down the aisle to start our beautiful poolside country wedding, Alison's perfect voice (in surroundsound) floated across the wedding guests, into lush green pasture and seemed to impact even the horses (or maybe the horses were just looking for their dinner). When I reached the rose-adorned wedding arch, I turned to see just about everyone with tears running down their cheeks - Alison's performance of this song really brought out the emotion in everyone. I would give this CD more then 5 stars if I could. It is the second cd by Amos Lee that I have purchased so far, after hearing how good the first one was, and I am sure that I will continue to by a lifelong fan.
