After experiencing a huge commercial comeback at the start of the decade with the "Ragged Glory" album, Young did another 360 and released what is essentially a sequel to his most popular album of the 70's "Harvest". Like the original, "Harvest Moon" is the folk, country Neil Young with him and his band using mostly acoustic instruments and arrangements. In fact the backing musicians and singers on "Harvest Moon" are many of the same that he used on the original "Harvest" album including Ken Buttery, Linda Ronstadt, James Taylor, Nicolette Larson, and others. I wanted a good collection of Kenny Rogers music to use for my DJ service. The only disc that I had was full of lousy re-recordings. In my mind, if they are not the original recordings that actually became hits, then they are worthless to me. I read all of the mixed reviews here on Amazon regarding this collection, but decided to take a risk and purchase it. I have listened to the full collection 3 times in full. Many reviewers are saying that this collection is full of re-recordings, but that is not true. These ARE the original hit recordings. This is a great, quality collection. Bruce and the gang sound like they had a whale of a time making this album. It's great fun to listen to in the car.

My one criticism would be that Bruce tends to use a phony southern accent when he sings. Oh, and "Shenendoah," as others have pointed out, is the low point.

Otherwise--kick up your heels!

If you are a fan of good ol'country music, this is an absolute must have for your collection! Jamey is a true artist that can not only drive home a heart felt balad, but can also craft an honest-to-God honky-tonkin',beer drinkin',good timin'song. If you ever get the opportunity to see him live....do not miss him!You will walk away believing that any song he sings was written for him. Vern Gosdin, Kieth Whitley,etc. The talent of this man and artists like him will keep "country" music alive. I would trade his debut album for every Garth Brooks,Tim McGraw,Kieth Urban,etc I could get my hands on. LOOKING FORWARD TO ALBUM #2

It seems like each and everyday Ben Harper's music continues to grow on me. I have known his music for a decade but didn't really become a fan until a couple of years ago. He is trully one of the most creative artists of his time. He can go from rock, soul, funk, R&B, gospal, and even bluegrass over a course of an album and it never sounds forced or chessy.
Lifeline is a fantastic album. "Into the Colors" is a great first single and the album is packed with great tracks throuhout. If you are a Ben Harper fan then you will not be disappointed with this purchase. This is one of the best albums in the music industry over the past few years.

Well, if you don't have this do yourself a favour and buy it. The package is great with great photos from the show.
As for Dylan, he is in high spirits and most possibly stoned out of his mind as he laughs, shares jokes, forgets lyrics...
He is also delivering all songs passionately making this one concert a very special indeed. A mere three months later he was recording Bringing It All Back Home and by doing so he was also a new Dylan.
