There are three tracks here that I think especially good. One is 'American Pie' another is the beautiful ballad 'And I love you so'. The third and my favorite McLean song is 'Vincent' in which he shows a special sympathy and understanding for 'Van Gogh'.
McLean is an especially fine and intelligent singer.

This is a great CD. Has both live and studio CD's. Steve Goodman is a wonderful writer and a good singer. The album will make you laugh and singer along. Jethro Burns on the mandelin is an excellent addition.

I first heard this CD being reviewed on the radio while sitting in my car waiting for a friend at the airport - this was when it was first released. I bought it the next day and had all of my friends sold on it in no time.
Almost twenty years later while discussing music with a co-worker, much younger then me, I asked him if he had ever heard of David and David. So I broke it out again. Before long I had several more co-workers sold on David and David. It's timeless. But then again good music is always timeless. Love to hear more from them, maybe a reunion.

Planet Waves being Dylan's 1974 release is a good record. But compared to Highway 61 Revisited and The Freewheelin' it is not nearly as good. The album has a definite 70's touch to it. That can be heard of tracks such as Going, Going Home. Whoever, designed the book-let must have been a hack. It is a drawing that looks it was drawn by someone that was drunk in bar. "Ok, Bob, I have had like 10 beers, let's draw the cover for your latest record". The inside looks even worst and looks like a joke. The lack of lyrics is also a problem. Come one Bob, you are an awesome lyricist and we do not get to read the lyrcis. That is just weak!

Shawn Colvin has always been a rather charming artist of smart sentiments and pleasant arrangements - it leads to lovely, not especially challenging songs, and a general feeling of goodwill towards Colvin. I'm a fan, I suppose, but I'd never think of her as one of the great "artists" of her time. I suppose that's still the case after These Four Walls, but I did find myself compelled to buy it, and, a good year and a half after purchasing it, it strikes me that I still listen to the songs regularly, and that there's not a clunker in the bunch. "Fill Me Up" begins the set with charming guitar and a vulnerable, winning melody, and "These Four Walls" capitalizes on it with rather lovely anxiety. I bought this CD because I just LOVE Dan Fogelberg--and was missing hearing his songs.

This collection was a excellent choice for me--because it had all the songs that I wanted to hear....to bring back all of those great memories...and make me sort of smile.

The CD itself was in excellent condition..as was the case,,,perfect !!

Shipping was on time..and I felt very inexpensive.

I would suggestit to all.
