This cd is a timeless classic, with artists such as 'Noel,' and 'TKA.' I discoverd Freestyle music not long ago and am fully aware that it was particulary popular in the 80's, appealing to a vast Latian audiance.

This cd is great for anyone who likes 80's dance music. It great to have acsess to such cds as in England the music is often dull. 80's American music is alot more 'up beat' and 'exciting' and this cd is a taste of what was and is missing today!

Songs like "grazing in the Grass," "Didn't I Blow Your Mind This Time" (check out the intro), "Oh Happy Day," and yes, "Color Them Father" and "A rainy Night In Georgia" (the last two are known mostly to those who remember AM radio at the time). If you were there, you'll love this collection. If you weren't there, this is a great intro. Enjoy.

Doo Wop Classics remind me of those nights when young women would talk to each other over the phone and the guys would play cards, but both dreamed of holding each other for the rest of their lives. This is one of the best collection I have ever had the pleasure of owning. The music is unchanged by time.

this one dives deep, now. everytime i hear this double cd, i think of two hip hop joints: IT'S MY THING by epmd and NO TIME by lil kim. the two songs they came.....................WAIT A MINUTE, IT TAKES TWO by rob base and dj easy rock of course!!!!! the THREE songs that these three classics came from plus kay robinson's funky version of THE LORD WILL MAKE A WAY SOMEHOW just does it for me. i love blowing dust off rare stuff, now. you like doing that too, check this one out.

Even though I bought this CD just for 1 particular song, (Do You Love Me by The Contours) I was very pleased with the overall mix of Motown hits. Original songs by the original artists, that's the only way to go! The very first song on the CD says it all, "Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing" As for Marvin Gaye, as good as his solo work is, I particularly enjoy his duets. I plan to add some if not all of the rest of this series to my collection. If you agree that the old Motown stuff is among the greatest music ever, you'll enjoy this CD and the others in the series. At $6.25, an excellent value.

There is so much to love about Wattstax, from the music, the reasons surrounding the event itself, and most of all the Stax sound - pure soul, pure R&B, pure Memphis.

Wattstax is as important an American musical event as Woodstock, and to be honest, looking at both with an unbiased eye (and ear) had a much deeper meaning to it.
