A version of the Stooges' "No Fun" by the Sex Pistols (1977) was probably the first officially recorded cover of an Iggy Pop song. The most famous was Bowie's defilement of "China Girl" in 1983. The music of Iggy and the Stooges has transcended three generations. In fact, they've been credited for wiping out the sixties entirely! Even George Clinton claims to have transformed Parliament into the wilder, free-form Funkadelic after witnessing a live Stooges performance.

After spending a good part of the last year in Los Angeles from my deprived existance in Sydney, Australia I finally got to really get a good look at the punk and ska scene.

There are some killer tracks here from bands that have become almost part and parcel of a punk sampler but you should definantly check out Diesel Boy and Teen Idols who are doing it tough to keep punk rock elite! Good work Don! From the brown land littered with Olympic hysteria.

I'm an oldy. I remember when this came out in the early 80's and it was bootlegged because you couldn't get skinhead in the states. Times have changed. This is a great compilation for anyone who wants to get a good overview of classic skinhead.

WOW!!! is the best way to describe this CD. If you like new wave, 80's Post-Punk, or just good damn music in general there is something for you on this CD. Not every song is great on this, but thats Ok because where else are you going to find awesome songs like these,

Never Let Me Down - Depeche Mode. if you like 'em, you'll love this.

Lips Like Sugar - Echo & the Bunnymen. Haven't seen it on any other comps.

Out of Hand - The Mighty Lemondrops <--Yeah, good luck. It's Soo good too

Work is a 4 letter word - The Smiths, exclusive to this compilation!

No Stars - Figures on a Beach, also quite rare, very good.

I brought this cd at a local store because it has some of my favourite bands in it (Warzone,Catch 22 and RiverCity Rebels).It never disappoint me-from the first track to the last track,every songs are great-hard driven bass with aggresive voice and great guitar,I love this cd.

Victory has never failed to amaze me-and believe me,this is probably the best Victory Style ever!!I heard Victory Style 5 from my friend but it's not so good as this one-great songs includes from Blood For Blood,Greyarea,Catch 22,River City Rebels,Warzone and Reach The Sky...Thumbs up for Victory!
