This sounds nothing like Metallica. If you are a metallica purest, I warn you now: DO NOT TOUCH THIS ALBUM WITH A TEN FOOT POLE!! Metallica purests will go out of their skulls listening to Nothing Else Matters and The God that Failed. Others would be bothered by the inclusion of King Nothing, a "Load" track, in the tribute. Infact, the only thing most purests might accept is the Coffin Texts version of Call of the Ktulu, which is the Metallica version with some sound effects.

This is more like "What if? Metallica were a 90s death Metal Band?" Death Metal fans who may have gotten their heavey metal start with Metallica would appreciate this album the most. It's the old favorites with a much more rapid fire pace, and distorted lyrics. ... Read More:

being a die-hard Priest fan,I`ve got all their cd`s,including tributes.When I bought this one,I figured"ok,Lets see what this one sounds like".I found I was fast-forwarding alot of the songs.Why? The sound is to techno-and like they were in a garage playin for the first time.If your into Priest,like me,I wouldnt buy this one.

This c.d. is a collection of fifteen modern Swedish metal bands covering tracks by classic Swedish metal bands (Bathory, Europe, Yngwie, Candlemass, etc.). I'm a dj, and I'll give a dj's track by track rating (with nothing being the lowest rating and "EEE" being the highest rating).

(1) In Flames is one of those bands that I don't care for, when I listen to one of their albums in entirety, because I think they recycle the same melodic tricks. Irregardless, this track reveals to me why critics/fans revere them as the melodic death metal gods because this song is Catchy. Just for hardcore fans of Black Sabbath (really?) who also enjoys death metal..hey wait a minute i like sabbath and i like death metal so...for whom is this cd? the only sabbath tribute is worth your money is Nativity in Black 1 (nativity in black 2 is the worstest).... don't buy this...really....

The CATHEDRAL song's are AWESOME!! why these were not added to make a re-relase of FOREST is beyond me!! the Brutal Truth one is good,Confessor is good, sleep is ok, godlfesh is ok, rest can be SKIPPED!!
