I'm 39 now. My Mom used to listen to these albums when she was a teenager, and years later, she would to play them for me all the time when I was young. Instead of plopping me in front of the tv, we'd sit and listen and imagine Cosby on stage and we'd be laughing right along with the audience. I have been listening to them ever since. All these stories have held up wonderfully (no pun intended) after over 40 years. Bill Cosby is a master comedic story teller - and most of what he is telling is through real life experience.
"Why is there Air" is pretty funny stuff, but not as good as Wonderfulness or Revenge. If you are new to this old stuff, I'd recommend one of those two as a first purchase.

After the mediocre "Ruin Jonny's Bar Mitzvah" and the slightly better "Love Their Country", I was starting to think that the Gimme Gimme's had lost their touch. I am happy to say that I was wrong because " Have Another Ball!" is a great CD. The only tracks that aren't good are the terrible "Sodomy" and the so-so "The Harder They Come". I only hope their next release is this good.

Some of Frank's best work ever. Very deep introspection of his subject matter, superb music composition, and of course the muse of the satire that makes Frank so intriguing to listen to!

Rhino tried to do their job here to make a selection from the best kwown albums out of Todd's entire carriere span. The overall result is a litle bit sloppy. It makes the listener think that most of Todd Rundgen's songs give the imression that's all about wining. Not enough rock'n'roll here, too many "love songs".If you want the very best of Todd Rundgen, you better try "Initiation".That was his "vey best period".Sadly, only one song is featured on this selection, adaptly named "Real man".Indeed.

The compilation is very reminiscent of the variety of music we heard on the show--kinda quirky and upbeat. The theme song and a few other distinct tracks from the show remind me how much I enjoyed watching the series. It's a great soundtrack!
Release Date February 28, 2006
I purchased this cd because of the number of great Ray Stevens Songs that I had listened to growing up. When I got the discs, I opened it up only to find that these were not the original recordings. They were more recent recordings, some without the same lyrics. The most disappointing were two of my all time favorites; "The Haircut Song" and "Ballad of the Blue Cyclone." If you are a Ray Stevens fan, don't bother with the box set. I recommend buying the original albums for original, classic Ray Stevens.

Jerry is a honest to goodness Mississippian, and reminds me a great deal of home. I don't live there anymore, but this brings me back to my roots. I knew people just like Jerry describes. This is great Family entertainment. No foul language, and just good fun if you can stop laughing long enough to hear it.

This cd was definitely worth the money I paid for it. I would even say that it was a bargain. One of the my favorite songs on the cd is "its a beautiful life" by Ace of Base. What I like about the compilation and what makes it worthwhile is that this cd also includes a strong eclectic music of various artists especially the interesting duo between ntrance and Rod Stewart of "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy". This is a compilation where you can actually picture yourself out somewhere having fun even if you are listening to it at work, in the car, and/or at home. Since many of the songs on the cd are good this is why I say that at the price I paid made me realize I got a good deal. Some other fun and noteworthy tunes are "Insomnia" by Faithless,"Be My Lover" by LaBouche,"This ... Read More:
