Like the title says this is the closest you can get to the actual movie. If you love Rocky Horror Picture Show then you need this CD!!
Release Date May 09, 1995
This is easily my go-to soundtrack, it's lifted me out of many a crappy mood and I've listened to it endlessly over the years. It features a variety of songs, classic and contemporary, that are evocative of France and each one is special.
On the classic side you have Ella Fiztgerald and her amazing voice on "I love Paris". There's Louis Armstrong, his rendition of La Vie En Rose is second only to his "Wonderful World" for simple, easy elegance, and the amazing Charles Trenant (who also wrote La Mer) give us Verlain.
On the contemporary side there's Van Morrison, the under-appreciated (in America anyway) Zuchero, and Kevin Kline with his theater background in the Pirates of Penzance and other musicals steps up the ... Read More:

This is a great DVD from the greatest and best band in the world. As the title states, this DVD includes every single Tenacious D publication that I can think of other than their latest movie, "The Pick of Destiny." It includes older material you may have seen, and much more material that you probably haven't. All of their music videos, HBO episodes, HBO short films, TV appearances, and even a full length concert at the Brixton Academy. Comes with 2 discs, one labeled "for fans", and one labeled "for psycho fans." Both are great discs - as long as you can stomach the D's humour!

If you love Dane Cook, you'll love this! Sound quality was not bothersome by any means, it's recorded live, what do you expect? It still sounds great, and he's always funny!
Release Date September 23, 2003
Eddie Izzard is easily my favorite comedian.
But circle, was dissappointing, but I'm going to give Izzard a break. "Unrepeatable" "Definite Article" and "Glorious" were performed in England. And in front of his type of crowd (an english crowd) He's a riot. Because he's an englishman, He talks english, so english people get him. "Dress To Kill" was in San Fransisco. And it was a freaking riot. So Eddie Izzard in New York doing "Circle" should be amazing shouldn't it?
Well, within the first 5 minutes of the show there is a heckler and that throws his rhythm off for the entire night. He start bumbling through his show and tripping over his thoughts but not in the charming way that he does in "Dress To Kill". The crowd is kind of ... Read More:

Frank is a funny guy with a lot of voices, but unfortunately this routine doesn't really do much with them. If you're a fan of Frank's CD release, you'll have heard about 80% of this act. It's kind of sad that he's had years between that CD and this release, but he hasn't come up with much new material. Brian Regan and Jeff Dunham have released 2 DVDs in the past two years and come up with completely new acts.
What little new material that is there is funny at times. Absolutely the standout moment in the show is a part of the bonus materials. It's an encore presentation in which Frank does a Jonathan Winters impression that is absolutely hilarious and spot-on. Then it's back to his standard "Chris Farley is Batman" closer.

Buyer beware! Yes, these are the usually great, sometimes brilliant, sometimes annoying Tom Lehrer songs BUT his introductions are gone. These are rather sterile recordings, with no audience reaction and, more importantly, none of the wonderfully funny verbal introductions that were half the fun of Tom Lehrer's music. The songs are there. And most, while not as wonderful without the introductions, do stand on their own. Just know what you're getting.

I'm 39 now. My Mom used to listen to these albums when she was a teenager, and years later, she would to play them for me all the time when I was young. Instead of plopping me in front of the tv, we'd sit and listen and imagine Cosby on stage and we'd be laughing right along with the audience. I have been listening to them ever since. All these stories have held up wonderfully (no pun intended) after over 40 years. Bill Cosby is a master comedic story teller - and most of what he is telling is through real life experience.
"Why is there Air" is pretty funny stuff, but not as good as Wonderfulness or Revenge. If you are new to this old stuff, I'd recommend one of those two as a first purchase.
Highly recommended to anyone who has never heard ... Read More:
