I bought this CD after seeing Buckcherry at Cruefest. Everyone song on this CD is really good. I have had it in my CD player ever since I bought it. I really recommend this to any rock fan.

Let me state upfront that I am a fan, albeit not a huge fan, of John Hiatt. Loved some of his earliest 70s albums, kinda liked his 2001 "The Tiki Bar Is Open", but I really was not prepared for what I'd hear on this album.
"Same Old Man" (11 tracks; 46 min.) was an eye-opener to me, and brought me back to why I loved his earliest albums. The entire flow of the album feels like a man feeling confident in his own skin, growing older, only that this album just oozes confidence from start to finish that I haven't heard in ages from Hiatt. There are no weak tracks on here, not a single one. If I had to point out my personal favorite tracks, they'd be "Old Days", "What Love Can Do", "Cherry Red" and the closer "Let's Give This Love a Try". ... Read More:

This is the pinnacle of "marketing the same songs". I remember when Greatest Hits albums were it - you put one out and you were done. Now, there's repackaging, and new editions, updated remasters, and the phrase "Complete Greatest Hits" just strikes me as odd. I mean doesn't the concept of "Greatest Hits" mean that all of your good stuff is there? So why would songs on a "Complete Greatest Hits" as opposed to just "Greatst Hits" be as good? If those songs were as good as the original batch, wouldn't they have been on the first edition? This seems like marketing twaddle to me.
Anyway, the songs on here are fine. The Cars are one of those groups where I never really bought their material, since you heard almost all of it on the radio a zillion times anyway. ... Read More:

As a longtime Bruce fan, I found this release just a tad bit disappointing. I still bought it and it's a great single-disc collection, nonetheless.
But now there are so many other collections. '18 Tracks,' 'The Essential Bruce Springsteen' and the 'Live 1975-85' are all out, and are quite a bit better than this, especially '18 Tracks.'
But this has all of the Bruce standards. 'Born To Run,' 'Badlands,' 'Hungry Heart,' 'Atlantic City,' 'Thunder Road,' and 'The River' are all on this set. And the sound quality is superb.
But why didn't they include a song like 'Rosalita,' 'Tenth Avenue Freeze Out,' 'The Tunnel Of Love' or 'Blinded By The Light' as opposed to one of the new songs like 'Secret Garden'? I loved the two new songs 'This ... Read More:

Dear people, Although I've grown up on McGuinn, Clark and Hillman I can 'dig ' this poorly edited CD, for starters the vocals are most of the time mixed so deep in the mix you cannot even detect them, this is especially true for large parts of Shine on you crazy diamond and the middle eight section of Wellcome to the machine, tis' just plain inaudible!!! This is a bad quality as POLYDOR JAPAN has left us with.
I really appreciate the superficial tunes by McGuinn, Clark and Hillman better, but OK says I: what gives?

This is a wonderful of Santana's best songs. They are all different and fun to listen to. Great for playing at parties or just jamming in your car on the way to work or on a trip.

My oh my how I love this greatest hits collection. It really has all the goodies on 2 brilliantly splendid CDs! On CD1 we get treated on Astronomy Domino, Lewd Sam and their TOPHit Water Bearer from the 1978 album Nunks.
On CD2 we can't miss the grandiose Shine On! yer crazy diamond you and the magnus opus 'Anomalies' (dived in Dogs, Sheep, Muffins and Cows).
The smashing closing piece is 'Inflatable Thumbs' one hell of a funny tune.
They were allways good for kicks!
