This album is as good as Floyd classics, but never gets mentioned the same breath as Dark Side of the Moon or the ones that followed it. It's an extraordinarily well made album, brilliantly sequenced, written, and performed. It's also a true Floyd album, with all band members contributing to the songwriting. It starts with the amazing, scary One of These Days. The next song, A Pillow of Winds, is one of Floyd's most beautiful ballads. San Tropez is cute and beautiful, and Seamus, which sounds like a throwaway, nevertheless is good. The best song is the side long, epic Echoes (here in its full length 23 minute version. I am not a HUGE DMB fan, but I do have about 5 albums of theirs. Love them all--one of the few bands I can listen to the entire CD of, not just select tracks.
HOWEVER, I have been trying to get this particular CD on my PC (to transfer to my MP3) for about 5 years now. Have tried my copy, friends' copies, the library's copy--to no avail.
Copyright law states that a consumer may make one back-up copy of any copyrighted material, so there should be no copy-protection anyway. I just want to put the album on my MP3 so I can listen more often. I even thought I would purchase the MP3 album (and pay ANOTHER $12!!!!!) just so that I could have it--but they don't offer MP3 album through Amazon.

Realesed in the summer of 1967 it demonstrates Cream's expirementing with acid rock. All 11 tracks on here are great and its good old fashioned 60s rock music. Some key tracks on here are, strange brew, SWALBLR, tales of brave ulysses, etc. It also has one of the first albums with the wah-wah pedal on it. All in all a great buy and you should buy it today along with all of the other great 1967 albums. here are some classic 60s albums that you should buy,

The "Born" CDs were what made the Boss' legend. Those were the ones you'd hear on the radio no end back in the day. I admit, I prefer "Born to Run" over "Born in the USA".

This is a great early day Bruce CD and I think still a must for any Boss fan. My favorites:

I remember this album, and the times. Not only does this music show his versatility, around this time, he also did the movie "Tommy" with Tina Turner, Ann Margret and Roger Daltrey, and showed his comedic ability on "Cher" a cbs/tv special(that got a 28.9 rating according to Nielsen Media Research)

By the way, I wonder how much help Elton John's benefit 'Hillary Clinton for President' concert was to her, after all, she won more votes than any other Presidential primary candidate in history.
