I recently purchased this cd from amazon. The delivery was fast. I only wish I could say the same about Blonde on Blonde. What an overrated plodding piece of schlock this is. Most critics place this album in their top ten best. They say it's one of Dylan's best. I wouldn't place this in my top 30. If you want a Dylan starter kit here it is: Highway 61 Revisited, Blood On The Tracks, Bringing It All Back Home. Heck, Shot Of Love is better than Blonde on Blonde.

The first time I heard this would be kind of album I was imagining little brown things dropping from Roger Waters' behind. 12 years later my sentiment's the same but my dad keeps on playing this garbage.

All the six tracks: Cats, Rats, Centipedes, Mammoths and Lice all sound completely interchangable. (yeah I know its Dogs Sheep Fish and the other thing, but it's blatantly the same anyway).

Pink Floyd hit it big in the beginning of their carear but lost it with Meddle and A dark sight of the moon. Take Ummagumma, Soucerful, AHM, Obscured by clouds if you are fan of classic rocK, but avoid this horrible piece of dung from...animals.

WHY WOULD ANYBODY GIVE THIS CD ONE STAR? IF YOU ALREADY HAVE THE SONGS, THEN DON'T ORDER IT. I'LL JUDGE THE CONTENTS AND LET ME TELL YOU ROD CAN SING. I HAVE HIS BOX SET, BUT SOMETIMES IT NICE TO HAVE A CD OF HITS THAT I DON'T HAVE TO SKIP ANY SO-SO SONGS. IF YOU WANT A GOOD REPRESENTATIVE COLLECTION OF ROD STEWART'S HITS, THIS IS PROBABLY THE BEST ONE ON THE MARKET. IF IT HAD "PEOPLE GET READY" I'D CALL IT PERFECT. A GREAT CD WORTH EVERY PENNY.

The "Born" CDs were what made the Boss' legend. Those were the ones you'd hear on the radio no end back in the day. I admit, I prefer "Born to Run" over "Born in the USA".

This is a great early day Bruce CD and I think still a must for any Boss fan. My favorites:

There are two glaringly obvious affectations to blame for the artistic failure of U2's 'the Joshua Tree'. One is the record company, who MUST for the sake of their shareholders, send young provincial bands to the colonies, and the huge rewards from the eager masses there. The other is the Clash.
'London Calling' sent U2, and any number of other groups from the UK and beyond, scuttling for their cowboy boots and neckerchiefs in the mistaken belief that they-could-take-on-American-influences-and-still-be-interesting....not so.

I am not a HUGE DMB fan, but I do have about 5 albums of theirs. Love them all--one of the few bands I can listen to the entire CD of, not just select tracks.
HOWEVER, I have been trying to get this particular CD on my PC (to transfer to my MP3) for about 5 years now. Have tried my copy, friends' copies, the library's copy--to no avail.
Copyright law states that a consumer may make one back-up copy of any copyrighted material, so there should be no copy-protection anyway. I just want to put the album on my MP3 so I can listen more often. I even thought I would purchase the MP3 album (and pay ANOTHER $12!!!!!) just so that I could have it--but they don't offer MP3 album through Amazon.
