This is alot better than most of SCC albums. It contains a mix of rock/pop songs and some slower heartfelt songs. Contains the radio hits "Dive" and "Fingerprints of God." A nice intro to some of his newer music. Overall a good album that really shows who SCC really is.

The music on this CD got my parents singing praise and worship again. Anything that can do that-and that sounds this brilliant-is worth it.

I purchased and LOVED Phil Wickham's CD "Cannons" and it is one of my favorite CD's. I love his style, his voice, his passionate lyrics. He personifies great praise music and does it with a U2-Keene feel. With that said, I was a little hesitant to buy this CD...I figured I would be a little disappointed with his debut album after loving his sophomore album so much. In my mind, I figured it just can't be a good. But I was wrong. It is just as good.
I was hooked right away with the opening song "Grace." This is a powerful song and Phil's vibrato is perfection. This song is just as strong as any on "Cannons." But it doesn't end there. I loved "Messiah," "Mystery," especially "Divine Romance," and "I Will Wait For You There," ... Read More:

Stellar Kart's newest CD, Expect The Impossible, is much more than I expected. I've never really listened to their music before. I purchased the CD from Pepsi points and was really impressed with what I heard. Their sound is much different than what I typically listen to (i.e., Starfield, Telecast, Salvador, etc.), but different is good in this case. I highly recommend this CD!!

There were a lot of records released in 2007 and a few awesome albums, like the Knife's "Silent Shout" and James Morrison's "Undiscovered" while 2007 also saw successful commercial releases like Rhianna's record "Good Girl Gone Bad" and Alicia Key's comeback record. For the most part, Relient K's "Five Scores and Seven Years ago" went past most people's radars and was largely misunderstood by such publications as "Rollingstone" calling them "Insipid" and "Bland". I took that criticism in when I listened to "Five Scores" and decided to give a fair trial.
On first listen to "Five Scores" it was hard to really get into it. "Plead the Fifth" seemed like a pointless track that made little sense and the only tracks I found listenable ... Read More:

I got this album like several many can relate, for that one good radio hit! It has it on here "Keeping Me Alive". As for the other songs, hit or miss. The band's lyrics unlike sanctus real or kutless doesn't sound quite so much christian but more like pop. Which isn't a bad thing, but it should be listed as a pop/rock not christian album. It seems like after hearing this band it makes me think that any band can have one sort-of christian song on it and it gets labeled as a christian album. Myspace girl is a cool other song though. It does warn about the dangers of our youth getting caught up in online dating relationships. I feel comfortable listening to this album but I fear those that aren't Christians couldn't tell I was listening to a Christian group. Its ... Read More:

"Wherever You are" is another move upward by 3rd Day, progressively towards perfection. From the very first song, "Light at the end of the Tunnel" provides the opening msg for the entire album. All songs are powerfully written and performed, with "Cry out to Jesus" the most radio-popular, but every song is intense with honesty ('Who do you think you are': warning to religiosity and pious minded super-imposers who attempt to negatively influence people)and doctrine:"Communion". This is Through and Through Third Day's Best effort, and far outshines most Contemporary Christian artists today, with the only comparable challenge being David Crowder.

This album is not as solid rock as his earlier releases. I actually didn't know much about Jeremy Camp at all until I went to the Virginia Beach,Va libraries and checked out his albums about a year ago. I love some songs on this album such as Let It Fade, Give You Glory, and Give Me Jesus but the others sound more like an experimentation with pop or other music styles. I do like artists that have quite a bit of variety and style in their music, but Jeremy Camp is hit or miss. You get the feeling that it's more of been there, done that with other artists that are accustomed more to christian rock. Its good, and I like Jeremy Camp but his songs can't touch Mercy Me's All That Is Within Me album! That album is by far the most impressive in my whole collection so far! More ... Read More:

I learned of the album release on Sirius and bought it the 1st day it was out. All the cuts are great, but "More Than a Name on a Wall" and "By the Mark" are my favorites. As a military retiree, the emotions flow when I hear "More Than a Name".
I'd followed Jamie for years with Doyle Lawson and was sad when he left. Now, I'm so proud to know the great group he and Darrin have put together. I had the opportunity to hear them live and speak to both of them in August. They've only just begun.
Count 'em... ten (10) IBMA nominations including:
Album of the Year
Song of the Year (for "By the Mark")
Song of the Year (for "More Than a Name on a Wall")
