This is one of my all-time favorite worship albums. I have enjoyed it from the first time I ever put it in the Cd player. The guys in Third day can really rock, and on this album they mix the rocking energy into a well captured worship service. Their cover of Bob Dylan's "saved" is more than worth the price of the album by itself.

Even though I'm already a Matthew West fan, I was very pleased and happy about this CD. It even came with some bonus Videos and songs which were exactly that...a BONUS. Even without those this is a great CD to add to the collection. Matthew has a way of writing and uplifting your spirit. Like the title of this review says....He never disappoints.

Switchfoot has been my favorite band for several years now. Out of their six major albums, this one is by far my LEAST favorite. I have listened to the album dozens of times to try and make it grow on me, but it just hasn't worked. Prior to this album, there was not a single Switchfoot song that I did not like. Now, there are a few--namely, "Amateur Lovers" (my least favorite song of the album), "Burn Out Bright", and "4:12". Overall, the lyrics from this album are not as strong/clever/heartfelt as those on previous Switchfoot albums, and the music itself is not as interesting or creative. It feels as though the album was rushed. The album does have several great songs on it--"Let Your Love Be Strong" (my favorite on the album--the "Daisy" of the ... Read More:

I wasn't familiar with Matt Maher until his release of the song "Empty and Beautiful". I really liked the song and thought I would take a chance on purchasing the CD. The music is wonderfully uplifting and inspiring. Well worth spending a few extra dollars to have all of the music vs paying for one song. If you like Christian music, you will enjoy this CD.

I don't listen to all the tracks on this recording, but I've all but worn out 8, 12 and the final track, the Halleluia Chorus. Stevie with Take 6 is masterful, as well as Al Jarreau on the all-star big band session. The one disapointment that kept me from giving it 5 stars was the recording quality. I wanted to use Why Do the Nations... with Jarreau to audition a pair of high-end stereo speakers in the store, and the band sounded like they were recorded in a shoe-box. Unfortunate for such great musicianship and arranging.

The title track of this CD is by far my favorite, but there are several others I like almost as well - "Holy One," "Tonight," and "No Name."
Luckily on this CD they didn't stray from the style that made "Undo" from their debut album so popular. Wes (lead singer) has an AMAZING voice. I *love* their sound. The only thing I would see them do differently is to rely a little less on repetition in their lyrics.
(For example, sometimes the chorus is simply a phrase repeated 3 times. It would have made the lyrics more meaningful to at least change the middle one.) This repetitive theme works fine in some songs ("Tonight" for example - it's so moving), but not so much in others. Still, this is a great CD and if you liked their previous one, you will ... The music is very inspirational, and the singles on track 11, 12, and 13 for "Yes" are so emotional that they touch your heart with hope.

Each album by DCB is just a little different. This one really mixed it up from what I was expecting. It to me not as user friendly as their earlier stuff, but we all grow in different directions.

LOVE THE SERIES, LOVE THE MUSIC OF THE SERIES. THIS SOUNDTRACK WOULD HAVE BEEN 5 STARS HAD THEY INCLUDED MORE MUSIC FROM THE SECOND SEASON. SPECIFICLY THIS HIPHOP TUNE ON DISC 2 THAT WAS BANGIN AND FOR ALL THE GANGSTER INNUENDO IN THIS COMEDY YOU WOULD THINK IT COULD REFLECT ON THE SOUNDTRACK. PROBABLY THE ONLY STRAIGHT HIPHOP IN EITHER SERIES AND IT WOULD HAVE BEEN COOL TO HEAR IT ON THIS SOUNDTRACK. WE SCOFF WHEN WE HEAR AFRICAN AMERICANS SAY THINGS LIKE "WE STILL HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO" THIS IS WHAT THEY MEAN. I FIND IT ODD THAT A SHOW THAT SEEMS TO HAVE NO LIMITS WOULD LIMIT THEIR SOUNDTRACK. MAYBE THE PRODUCERS THINK THEY ARE DOING US A FAVOR BY SPARING/SHELTERING US FROM THE "SCOURGE" THAT IS HIPHOP OR MAYBE THEY THINK THAT WE ARE NOT AS PROGRESSIVE IN ... Read More:
