... a Christian themed-rap CD with fellas that can actually rap! It seems like E.T.W. never quite made it to the top, not because they couldn't rhyme but because not every other thing that came out of their mouth was a 4-letter word! They have released several albums (CD's) but this one is the best in my opinion with classic songs like "THIS IS WHAT TIME IT IS (REVELATION GENERATION)" and "DESTINED TO WIN."

This CD has been out of print for a while now and has been increasingly hard to come by but if you're lucky enough to find it, I suggest you buy it... there can't be too many left out there!

Good Vs. Evil

The good: Most of the best stuff on here tends to be the slower tracks with an R&B edge ("You Don't Have to Cry","Keep Runnin'") but Antonious can definitely lay down faster rhymes well when he wants to ("It's Time","Pages of Life"). Pretty good production all the way through...nothing strikes as particularly weak or out of place beatwise even though production is split between Dynamic Duo Productions and Blaq Gold...

The bad: "This World" wastes a good hook with a weak first up rap from Prime Minister..Antonious' section is better but it's already too late at that point. The fake devil voice on "Deception" (someone's voice slowed down and probably run through a touch of reverb and chorus..) gives it a cheesy edge. The sing song hook ... Read More:

NOTE: Below is a copy of the review I wrote for the standard version of "dc talk: greatest hits". This version comes with a bonus DVD that features a few of dc talk's music videos. The video resolution is standard tv resolution which just looks okay. This is forgivable because that is really what these videos were recorded for.

Knine has a meshed flow that is HOT! By meshed I mean that you can't place him in any one category of rapper styles because he can sound like all of the styles (East,MidWest,Derty Souf,Houston,West). I think the difference between this rapper and others that I have heard is that he places you in his world. You feel a heartfelt connections with him by the last song. He is also IN LOVE with JESUS and you know it by his lyrics. He talks about his love for his wife and family also which is admirable.
I want to preface the rating by saying that you could listen to this cd all the way through if you so desired because the flow is tight on every single song, but the rating is an overall view of everything in the song like beat, chorus...

I own and have personally "played out" the first two DJ Maj cds.
I'm constantly looking for great Christian hip hop to work out to. It's my time of intimacy on a deep, energizing, and contemplative level with the Lord.
I'm dissapointed with this 3rd set. Only two songs really stood out for me and the rest I skipped over continually.
