Although I am not a big rap fan, I found several tracks I liked. My daughters and I sing "No Wed, No Bed" a lot. I thought that was a good message for young people. I also liked Static and Devils Get Dropped. I agree, I would have like to have heard more "Jesus" and "God" and "Savior" in the lyrics, but overall, I thought it was a decent CD. I checked out the company's website, www.soldiersound.com and found really good videos. I really liked the rock video! I believe he is annointed and is a good witness for those who like this type of music. Even though this isn't my first choice of music, I believe it is for those who are lost and enjoy this type of music. I can't believe this is sold in Christian bookstores! The content of this cd is all about self glorification and the power of MAN...not GOD. The inclusion of gangsta rap artists La Chat and Gangsta Boo who continue to release explicit material doesn't do much to "witness" either. Please note, there are no explicit lyrics on this album (the cover features a "spiritual advisory"). If focusing on good looks, money, and power for "MAN" is what inspires you then have at it...otherwise pass this "gospel" hip-hop album up.

I like rock, and I also like some hard rock, but is this rock?

There are some songs on here that shouldn't be considered rock. Yeah, maybe hip hop rock (like Linkin Park for instance). Personally I don't like "rock" artists that rap a lot in their music (like Toby Mac), although, some of it sounds good, I just don't find rapping in rock music to be that great.

But honestly, the last bonus track is clearly a rap song. I like some rap music, but it isn't rock and further more, I don't even like the song as a "rap" song. This album is stating that it's Christian rock hits, but the last track isn't even rock. What's the deal with that?

Out The Box - The Movie

Tonex is so out of the box, he is a genius for titling this "movie" as such. I call it a movie, even though its a live concert, its organized by genre of type of gospel music. You can tell he put some serious time into the editing of this dvd. Also, the concert is very well choreographed and executed. Some of the songs is over my head, but I did enjoy the "slower" songs as well as the older songs he sang. This is worth having in your dvd collection if you love good contemporary gospel music.

I love this group and this new cd is the BEST so far! Some may remember them as Souljahz, but no matter what name they use, they still have the anointing on them. Even with one member missing (their brother), they still make it HOT!!! Get this cd and you won't be disappointed! My favorite song is "Diamonds," and it speaks to young girls on how to be a "diamond!"

If this is your first time hearing of them, check out thier first cd "The Fault is History" under the name "Souljahz." God is all over this cd and at the same time it's a cd that will make the world stop and ask you: "Who's that you're listening to, that's HOT! I havn't heard of them yet!"

Washington Projects has my vote for one of the best cds of 2008!!!
