Months ago, when I heard Lecrae was dropping his third studio album "Rebel" I knew it was going to be good and of course it didn't disappoint! The world is full of "Indwelling Sin" and is "Desperate" for "Truth." Lecrae presents the truth of the gospel with the same heart-felt passion that he is known for. I highly recommend this album for anyone looking to "Rebel" against the world and "Go Hard" for our Lord Jesus Christ! Get this one it will bless your life!

When I heard Casting Crowns was releasing a Christmas CD, I couldn't wait. I love their music for taking the familiar and making me look at it in a fresh way. So when I got this CD I was a little disappointed with the play list. It is mostly familiar carols. But once I started listening to it, that feeling went away.

Yes, the familiar carols are here and are plentiful. Yet they sound beautiful. There are gorgeous harmonies on "O Come All Ye Faithful." The guitar is fun on "Joy to the World." "Sweet Little Jesus Boy" gets a new melody. With a string background, it sounds like a lullaby. And the instrumental version of "O Come, O Come Emmanuel" is absolutely breathtaking. Difficult to beat Chris Tomlin. Great songwriter, great singer. This CD has a lot of hits, if that's what you like. I recommend it to anyone that likes CCM.

I was at the Woodland Pavillion for the first taping of this tour, third row stage right. It was an awesome show. When they returned this year to re-tape at the Berry Center, I was there again eighth row. Both shows were outstanding, and would be hard to enjoy the actual energy that was there via DVD/CD. Some people are already writting negative comments, but take it for what is worth. The 'boys put on an energetic show and were extremely loud. I have yet to get my copy, I am just writting as someone who was there and am eagerly awaitng my copy to arrive!
As for Phil being missed, yes he was. His high pitch vocals and bass were definantly missed. But the Newsboy's stilled pulled it off without a hitch. Not many bands could get away without ... Read More:

No one can sing more beautiful gospel music than Elvis Presley and this CD is a perfect example of that. It brings tears to your eyes. He puts a whole lot of feeling into all the songs. The songs are my all time favorite gospel songs.

Since receiving this CD the day it came out it's been in my CD player on 'repeat'!

And you know how the Holy Spirit works... bringing to mind scripture or song when you need it... the title track is my favorite... but we've been singing it in church for a few months now, a real focus in on Jesus-God to start the day! But also Lincoln's rendition of "Salvation is Here" comes to mind when satan throws one of his darts through-out the day "And I don't care what the world throws at me now, I'm gonna be alright!" My third favorite is again bringing my focus to God in "God You Reign" - so descriptive with "You paint the night, You count the stars and You call them by name, The skies proclaim, God, YOU reign..." This DVD by CW is a must for any CW fan. And, if you've never purchased any CW DVD's, it's a lovely place to start. This DVD really showcases, perhaps even better than either of their other DVD's, each woman's vocal gifts.
Downes has outdone himself with the selections and his arrangements accent the harmony among the women. For soloists, their blend of voices is superb.
I totally love the duet between Meav and Chloe as one takes the high soprano and then the other. Having Orla on the harp, David on piano and Mairead on violin makes this selection haunting. Lisa is as warm and engaging as ever, especially in "Green the Whole Year Round".
A Christmas Celebration can be celebrated... the whole year round. Enjoy!
