My daughter watched this video and was potty trained in an instant! She watched this video when she was two, I gave her lots of juice and water so she had a full bladder and I set her lil potty in front of the tv. I turned the video on and she peed in the potty! And she went on her lil potty from that day on! It was a very successful video, it made her be proud to go on the potty and feel sucesful that she could acomplish the task. I would recommend this video to everyone! My dauhgter wanted to watch it all the time, so I let her! She loves to sing along with the video. And she was fully potty trained by 2 and a half. No problems here! I would recommend this video for anyone who wants to have their kiddo potty trained in no time!

Your child would love watching this video, but she'd also love eating cotton candy and drinking grape soda. Many pediatric and psychological studies (e.g., by Children's Hospital in Boston) have shown that young children know FEWER words for every hour they spend watching videos like this one. Why? Because they aren't spending time with YOU, practicing their language and social skills. There's also evidence that young children who watch TV have a greater risk of developing ADHD. Last, toddlers who grow up in homes with the TV always on in the background literally seem to have more trouble hearing themselves think. This hurts their developing linguistic abilities and consequently their abilities to engage silent reasoning.

After reading a few negative reviews of this product, I had concerns about purchasing it. However, I couldn't find any alternatives that I thought would help reinforce my 3-yr-old twins' interest in letters so I took a chance. I am so glad I did!

The video introduces capital and lower case letters along with the sounds and somehow manages to capture my boys' attention whenever I turn it on. It is interesting to both of them, despite their very different abilities (one has known the alphabet since he was 18 months and the other still doesn't know all the letters).

My opinion is that the concerns of the reviewer(s) who complained about the pronunciations like, "d-uh" are overstated. It is a great tool for learning ... Read More:

Beakmans World is a great show and I was so glad to find the DVD. Its educational and enjoyable. Grown-ups and kids a like will learn something while laughing at the ridiculous puns and jokes. He teaches kids about balance points and the center of gravity in one section. He shows them how to balance 2 forks on the end of a tooth pick. He recommends using a salt shaker to hold it up. We were in a chinese resturant and the salt shaker didnt have a flat head so after we paid the bill we balanced the 2 forks on the hole in the top of the metal tea kettle and left it for the waiter to see. My son loved seeing the look on his face when he found it. Fun and Education! what more could you want!

I bought this video because I'm working with my son to try to get him to start saying some words. This video got great review, thus being the reason for my purchase of this specific product. It was so boring that it put my son to sleep! We watched it after he had gotten up from his nap, actually. It's no better than Baby Einstein - which is a great concept for the little ones - but not good for toddlers. My son can communicate very well receptively, which might be the reason for him not having any interest in this video. We bought a Baby Babble video which seemed to engage him much better.

i bought this dvd even after i read the horrible reviews on amazon but after watching it with my 2 young children, i realize it's not all bad. yes the production isn't as high tech as the new releases, but it is nice to see the guys starting out.(i swear Anthony is wearing a greenish shirt. Why did they decide on a blue wiggle and not stick with the green?) Also the two different Captain Feathersword(one being Anthony the other his brother) were no where near as good as Paul(the guy you all know and love as the captain) but it was nice to see how even that character has evolved! Not all that bad dvd and the music still sounds the same!

I "kind of sort of" like this movie. My daughter watches it from time to time, but the quality and storyline do not hold up against the other Barbie movies. Our favorite Barbie movies are:

1. Barbie as The Island Princess
2. Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses
3. Barbie Mariposa and Her Butterfly Friends
4. Barbie in The Nutcracker

I would only recommend this movie if you are a collector and want to own all the Barbie movies, otherwise, choose another one of her movies and I'm sure you'll enjoy it more.

Also, to improve her reading skills I often put the movies on with the sound off so she can read the subtitles, but I went through the entire menu system and could not find the subtitles anywhere. ... Read More:

My son absolutely adores Little People and watches them constantly. The dvds promote good values and friendship which with todays other shows is refreshing. The Dvd is a total of 10 stories which are broken into two 5 min menus so if want you dont have to play all of them. If you want a product your child will love get this and other Little People movies. It is just unfourtunate that they do not sell in stores. At least none I have been to.

During a recent visit, my three year-old granddaughter asked me what my record player was. I took her to my collection of 331/3 LPs and selected Peter, Paul and Mommy - the 1969 vinyl edition. "Oh,Grannie," she said, "a big DVD!" She loved "Momma's Taking Me to The Zoo Tomorrow" and "Puff the Magic Dragon." I had forgotten all the great songs that were on this album.,,,hadn't played it for years. We really enjoyed it together. So I purchased this CD just for her...she lives in the UK...and I'm always looking for good ways to keep in touch.
