Some kids music is rather annoying for adults. This album is very enjoyable for everyone. My husband and i like it as much as our kids do. Dan Zanes and They Might Be Giants are some of our favorites.

This music has that timeless folky appeal. The title is appropriate, as I can understand children enjoying the simplicity of these songs, but the songs themselves aren't "childish." They speak about simple subject matter (eg. trains) but in a respectful and authoritative way. Master musicianship as well.

i just got this dvd for my daughter she is interested in using the potty and knows when she needs to go i used a video for my oldest and it helped but i no longer have the video so i thought this would be good she like bear. how ever its just like the show and doesn't really get to the potty point. its cute but doesn't really get the point across to her its just another dvd to watch.

I "kind of sort of" like this movie. My daughter watches it from time to time, but the quality and storyline do not hold up against the other Barbie movies. Our favorite Barbie movies are:

1. Barbie as The Island Princess
2. Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses
3. Barbie Mariposa and Her Butterfly Friends
4. Barbie in The Nutcracker

I would only recommend this movie if you are a collector and want to own all the Barbie movies, otherwise, choose another one of her movies and I'm sure you'll enjoy it more.

Also, to improve her reading skills I often put the movies on with the sound off so she can read the subtitles, but I went through the entire menu system and could not find the subtitles anywhere. ... Read More:

I'd like to say the the price wasn't too cheap, because at $23.00, I could have bought this movie new. I figured I haven't had a bad experience in the 2 years I've been purchasing items from Amazon, so I'd buy it anyway. The delivery time was excellent, the case was neat and the disk was spotless...perhaps too clean. It is a copied movie onto a DVD from a pack of DVDs done up with a Label Maker. The movied started skipping as Simba went to sing "I Just Can't Wait To Be King", and then totally stopped playing! Since it was being played at a sleepover, I had to keep trying 'cause the children were totally looking forward to it. I eventually had to turn it off since it wouldn't fastforward, turn it back on and from the menu, skip a chapter then slowly rewind ... Read More:

My daughter had this video when she was 5 and loved it. I bought it for my Granddaughter who is only 21 months old. She has had it only 1 month and already knows many of the songs and dances along with it daily. I would recommend this video to everyone.

My son's face lights up when I play this CD in the car. I like the variety of songs and children's voices. I don't particularly like the children's CDs with adult voices because I think it sounds cheesy (unless its Julie Andrews- only exception). Needless to say, I am really glad I found this one.

price of this product is high - but worth it. where else can you get this classic? one word - buyit. If you want to introduce this to a new generation of kids -then don't hesitate. Are you going to find another movie that promotes that kids - run away from home - live in a house alone while their parents are on the high seas - treat adults like jokes (which we are) - and lift horses above their heads?

This set of films is so brilliant, and my review is so bad - you buy it and write your own ...;)
