This CD is one of my top 10! It's so organic and raw, but it's rock, blues, psychadelic, you name it! Buddy sings so great, shreds, lets it all hang out. He talks the band through some of the changes, he's talkin' to the engineer and they just leave it in. I love it, it's like we were in the control room watchin' 'em lay it down. And the opener "Done Got Old," on acoustic guitar is too cool! Get it, get it, get it!

What else can be said? Read the other reviewers comments, as they sound very seasoned on whats good. I, for one, have been into the blues for a few years and bought this CD.
Awesome stuff!! Makes me want to smoke a fat cigar and sit on my back patio with shades on at night time. Er, well.....a really good compilation.
Buy it and you won't be disappointed.

From one of the most renonwned blues legends ever, this album of his greatest hits is awesome. If you love guitar, and blues then check this album out.
Release Date October 25, 1990
For the most part, this is a great soundtrack. The only problem I have with this, is that the "La Bamba" on the CD is not the exact one played in the movie during the concert and also at the end of the movie where the credits are. The one in the movie is SLIGHTLY faster and upbeat. Would have loved to have that version on the CD.

This compilation has lots of Otis Rush's best early material, and while it predates his classic "So Many Roads," it is still an excellent collection of his music.
I Can't Quit You Baby, Three Times A Fool, Groaning The Blues, and many others remind you why he's been such an influential guitarist, and why people like Eric Clapton love him work.
This is a collection worth owning for the blues guitar fan.
Release Date September 04, 1991
Are you kidding, who do you think Eric Clapton learned his best licks from?? Yep, T-Bone. This CD has no bad, average, or even great recordings on it. They are all spectacular!! T-Bone is the master of the "modern" blues style, yeah, like Eric Clapton, only earlier and beautiful music in his own right.

Recorded over three nights in 1968, this is one of those great rock 'n' roll jam albums. The relationship between Kooper and Bloomfield is intuitive and symbiotic- the two of them know how to share a song, playing with and off of one another with finesse and warmth. It's wonderful to hear them tossing ideas back and forth- one of the album's coolest moments occurs during a cover of "Dear Mr. Fantasy," when, during the instrumental break, Kooper plays a quote from "Hey Jude," and Bloomfield echoes it during his solo. It's a pretty good indicator of the loose, playful feel that permeates this album. Of course, it doesn't hurt that these are two of the best players in the business, capable of melding blues and jazz into an expertly crafted rock 'n' roll framework. They ... Read More:

One of my first exposures to the world of Chicago-style blues, after a steady diet of country-style Delta blues, was the Rolling Stones' version of the Willie Dixon classic Little Red Rooster back in the early 1960's. I thought that was a song to beat all songs and it had nothing to do its allegorical nature, you know, about sex. What, moreover, capped it for me the fact that it was originally banned in Boston- from the radio airwaves of the times. Naturally that made this teenager want to hear it even more.
All this is by way of saying-yes; the Stones did a great version of that song but if you really want it heard then you must go to the master- Howlin' Wolf. That big gravelly-voiced man who, in still pictures that I have seen of him as well as film seems ... Read More:
