With its driving electro rhythms and wailing traditional Irish folk instruments (played by Martyn Bennett), track 5, "Ud the Doudek," is a pretty fun listen. "Hallaig" is also worth hearing, for Irish poet Sorley MacLean's recitation of his own marvelous poem set to Bennett's effective backing music. All in all, however, with due respect to Martyn Bennett, his diverse musical background and tragic demise are more compelling than the music on this album.

This is a GREAT CD set with wonderful selections of talented singers and musicians. I don't think that I will ever get tired of it.
Release Date August 04, 1997
Great music takes you someplace, it opens up a vista inside of you deeper than thought or word. John Doan is a master at finding tones and melodies rich in emotion, soul, and wonder. His playing is impeccable, and yet he moves beyond technique and truly plays as the ancient bards must have sung - creating magical spaces and lands between the notes. This CD will stay at the top of my playlist for a long, long time.

This is another celtic cd which stirs the blood to your core. It has great melodies and wonderful arrangements to compliment the vocals. I will look forward to purchasing more of Adiemus in the future.

I REALLY like the start to this album, an incredibly catchy tune called John McKenzie's Fancy by J. Barrie. I noticed that this tune is also on Robin Bullock's album, "Midnight Howl"Midnight Howl and on the World Pipeband Championships 1983 album. A truly great tune!
Release Date April 18, 2000
This was a gift for my husband, who loves the original Celtic Women Vol. 1. He was dissapointed because it is not the same artists or the same style of music. He actually changed to another CD before getting to the end.
Release Date June 11, 1993
I currently own three of Maggie Sansone's CD's...I like them all...my favorite of the three is Celtic Meditations. I like this one a lot too, although "Meditations" has a lot more songs (24 tracks.) Bottom line, if you like dulcimer music and/or celtic music, this one is a winner!
Release Date January 30, 2001
When I was younger, I used to love the Corrs. I still do, and I think their music has grown with the generations. 'In Blue' is their catchiest album and it's got the whole glitzy, glam, powerpop that makes you want to dance and sing along. Their most 'known' hits were from this album - and with good reason - this one is the most marketable, music industry wise.
Best Tracks include - "Radio", "At Your Side", "No More Cry", "Would You Be Happier", "Give Me A Reason", "Breathless" and "Iresistable".
Release Date June 01, 1996
This Australian band's music is so strong it bursts off the player. The opening instrumental "Granny & Rory MacLeod" is such a powerful anthem, it'll get you off your feet! Angus Richardson's "Falling" boasts a great melody, "All I want is you to see how you burn inside me; all I need is you to know that you never leave me." From the rather silly "The Clumsy Lover" to the strong instrumental "The Mason's Apron" and the lovely closer "Carry Me," Hamish, Angus & Fergus with band mate Dave Albert Allen blast with energy and passion on this wonderful set. Enjoy!
