"Foolish Games" is everything that radio rejects, piano driven, slow, without a definitive bridge and a chorus that only appears twice yet it was everything right, being a massive hit at it's time of release.

I feel the version that was re-recorded for the Batman soundtrack was the superior version. From the haunting piano intro, to the simplistic yet dramatic story of the man she wants so desperatly that doesn't even know she's alive, or does he?

Beautiful song and Jewel's best work to date!

In a world where the copyright is disappearing into an internet void for musicians, perhaps there is no better example of a stolen song than "Wimoweh/The Lion Sleeps Tonight." Uyimbube, uyimbube" is how the song really goes (wimoweh is how Pete Seeger wrote it down), sung by no other than the great grandfather of Mbube himself, Solomon Linda of South Africa in the 1930s. Recorded by many, this song became a world-wide hit and the Linda family did not have enough money for nearly twenty years to buy a stone to put on his grave when he died as a pauper. These mixes are okay, but the only one worth listening to is the "Back To The Scene Of The Crime Mix" that was released to radio when this single came out instead of the album version. It really gives it a disco feeling.

Strict machine is my favourite Goldfrapp track and for this reason I searched out all the remixes to get extended versions looking for more of what I liked. Sadly the remixes on this CD all miss the key element of the track which makes the original so good: the base line. If this is not what floats your boat about Strict Machine then you might like the remixes. For me it makes this CD a disappointment and a missed opportunity

I Love the Song "Rain" it is my favorite song Madonna has ever released and this Ep is incrediable.
1)"Rain" (Radio Remix): An okay version of the ballad, but to me, it takes power away from this gorgous song.
2)Waiting (Remix): a nice little additive to the U.S. Single and this Ep. It has a more hip hop/Kinky feel to it, than the orginal. I, however, like the Album Version the best.
3)"Up Down Suite": Included on every single of "Rain", Madonna must like this one. This is a 12 Min. Dub of the song "Goodbye to Innocence", which appeared on the abortion/womens right to choose compilation "Just Say Roe". But I'd Go for the orginal, it is much better!
4)"Rain" (Album Version): The orginal and best version!

Track 3 claims to be "alternate take previously unreleased in the U.S." but it was in fact on the Beach Boys Rarities LP/Cassette in the USA in 1983. It is on CD in the U.S. for the first time, though. The various sessions and instrumental (stereo) are on the 1993 box set, although the instrumental here is a new all-stereo mix. The live concert rehearsal is on the Hawthorne, CA 2CD set. The single version (mono) and Let's Go Away For Awhile (stereo) are on other CD's as well. Nice artwork and mastering as usual from Mark Linett and Capitol.
