The blending of bass beats in this single is phenomenal. To the rhythm is a refreshing new appearance upon the dance music scene, and hopefully Pepstar will continue to produce songs as good as this single. |
Move Any MountainCD-Charts > Music > CD Singles by: The Shamen Release Date September 26, 1991 "Move Any Mountain" is an excellent single and is a dance classic not just another one in the dance arena but also an immensely innovative song that pushed the boundaries of dance music and is still an amazingly fresh and futuristic song even to this day, 14 years after it was released and was hot on the radio. This single is a beautifully done single with seven versions of this song, all ranging from good to classic on their own. 16 'tracks' which actually dissect this song down into it's individual parts ranging from the trumpet part, to the keyboard parts, as well as the techno beat samples. It's a fun song but after the first three or four tracks it starts to get old. A good cd to listen to and amuse your friends every once and a while. |

You only have to see my review of her latest, Grime, Silk, Thunder, to see that I like Ultra Naté. The house music stalwart often gets referred to in terms such as "cult diva" - shorthand for an underrated talent, I guess. But it also implies that she just knocks out belting house grooves for a sweaty minority when, in fact, each of her albums shows a willingness to experiment and try out different styles, both musically and vocally. This means that you'll rarely love each track on an Ultra Naté CD with the same immediacy, but each collection as a whole is none the worse for this experimentation. ... Read More: |

I have loved Blondie for ages but never thought it would be possible to regain a sound once thought lost to the decades. The music is moving and upbeat. Not overly intense mentally but not bubblegum pop either. I love it. Everytime I hear it it gets me all revved up. Reminds me of the way I felt when "Call Me" was released. You just had to sing along. It transported you. There is something truly wonderful about the music of this group. You can never reproduce the freshness of it. Back in the 90s, the John B. Norman vs. Killerloop Remix (7:15) was blazin' the dancefloors. It's sheer progressive energy with awesome breakdowns. A few years later I was introduced to other mixes on the CD-Maxi (not this one). The Jet Set & Plastic Angel Remix (7:07) seemed weird at first but I grew to like it. It's a dark take on Eternal Flames, gothic-sounding, but catchy in its own way. The surprise was the Melodica Mystica Short Mix (5:44).
