Probably this CD got labeled with the Parental advisory sticker is because of the songs so Hott & sugar where the music may be a little bit rough for some people. All though there are some language in tracks 11 & the title song. However, don't let some of the language and sexual content discourage you from buying this CD. IF the members at the common [...] would probably put this CD at about 13 to 15 and up so you probably don't want your really young kids to listen to this. However if you are looking for one of those CD's that seem to bend several genres of music, buy this one.

Charlie Haden is a jazz bassist who apparently has roots in bluegrass music. "Rambling Boy" revisits those roots, and the results may be interesting to people who are wouldn't normally listen to bluegrass - or to people who haven't even heard of Haden. The reason is a plethora of notable guest appearances throughout the album.

Haden plays double bass throughout, while the vocals are handled mostly by various members of the Haden family. Credited collectively as the Haden Triplets on several tracks, the harmonies are tight and attractive. I pride myself on not falling into the "it doesn't sound like their other stuff" line of criticism when it comes to drastic artistic change, and as TV on the Radio is one of my favorite bands currently in action I have second-guessed my initial off-putting reaction to this album at every turn. But after three and a half listens, I have to say I just can't get into it.

The mantra associated with this album is something along the lines of "experimental art-dance-rock at its best." It's clear the word "dance" was heavy on the band's collective mind while creating these songs. When I heard that Chrissie Hynde and The Pretenders were releasing a new album I was excited.Bought it and am so happy I did...I always respected Chrissie and appreciated all the great rock she has given through the years.This album is filled with the traditional sound of Chrissie throughout.The mid-tempo rockers and slower Chrissie style ballads...capturing the old style Pretenders with a modern twist.If you are a Chrissie Hynde/Pretenders fan,there is no reason not to buy this one.It rocks...My personal faves are Boots of Chinese Plastic,The Nothing Maker,Don't Cut Your Hair,Love's A Mystery,The Last Ride,Rosalee and Break Up The Concrete.Pretty much every song.Just to tell you how rich an album this is...Rock on Chrissie...Glad you are back...

I have to say that I am quite impressed with these young musicians. I purchased this CD for my daughter not really thinking I would enjoy most of the music on it. The CD is all pop/rock and the worst word used on it is "sucks" on one song! I really hope the Jonas Brothers keep their "good" kid image so young girls and boys have a pop/rock group to look up to. I would highly recommend this CD. My husband even liked a couple of songs and he only listens to rock music. He is a very harsh critic so this really says something positive about the Jonas Brothers talent...very good!
