I bought this CD for the Slash piece that is included. I liked each and every piece in this CD, and the only reason it gets 4 stars rather than 5 is because all pieces are quite similar. There are no significant variations in the mood or sound between them, so it can get a tiny bit boring by the time you reach the end of it. Great for background music.

Jan & Dean - Greatest Hits is a budget priced CD from Curb Records that really doesn't make the grade as a true "greatest hits" collection. There are only ten songs here and that could never be enough to encompass every hit that Jan & Dean ever had. There's a lot to like -but there's too much missing and that irks me. However, the sound quality is good and the artwork is nicely done.
"Linda" starts the CD off with a number that showcases the fine vocal talents of Jan & Dean. They really harmonize wonderfully, much better than I've heard in quite a while. "Linda" has a pretty melody and the percussion sounds terrific, too. Great! "Surf City" may sound like something The Beach Boys would have turned out; but make no mistake ... Read More:

Along with the other reviewers, this is my favorite celtic compilation. I, too, am moved to tears by Strathgarry at the end. My husband and I loved the music on this cd so much that we used most of it for our wedding 10 years ago, and had it included in our wedding video. It's still as good today as it was then.
Release Date April 23, 1991
I bought the cd just for that one song you cannot find anywhere else. Randy VanWarmer, Just When I Needed You Most. You cannot find this one anywhere, unless you have it on an old record.

Those reviews complaining that the tv themes are too short are correct, but most are the original recordings like heard from the shows themselves. If you are looking for or want the full version of these songs, look elsewhere, or maybe try iTunes. Some might be/maybe outdated, so take what you can get at this point in time. Don't worry, be happy!

Super Hits of the '70s: Have a Nice Day, Vol. 13 gives us ten great hits from the 1970s that really made the airwaves hot! These songs still sound great today on this very well digitally produced CD; and the artwork is pretty good as it always is in this multi CD series.
Maria Muldaur begins the tracks set with her hit entitled "Midnight At The Oasis." "Midnight At The Oasis" has a romantic, attractive melody that catches your attention and never lets it go. Maria sings this with a lot of sensitivity and that's probably a big reason why this song went so far the way it did in the `70s. The guitars work well and the percussion adds to the beauty of the number--awesome! Jim Stafford follows with another hit entitled "My Girl Bill." "My Girl Bill" hints at an ... Read More:

Billboard Top Rock & Roll Hits: 1960 gives us ten great rock and roll hits from 1960. The sound is excellent and the artwork is very good. This brings back memories for people who heard these tunes on the radio; and newcomers to this type of music will love it for sure!
Joe Jones kicks it off with his catchy hit "You Talk Too Much." Joe sings this very well with excellent diction; and the musical interlude is catchy and somewhat jazzy as well. The musical arrangement makes good use of the brass and percussion especially.
Listen also for Chubby Checker performing a smash hit, "The Twist." Chubby broke a lot of records when he came out with this tune. "The Twist" practically implores you to dance along with it as the melody is cool, catchy and ... Read More:
