Superb eighteen song DVD of the notorious Iron Maiden playing to an extremely large crowd in 2001. Fortunately, I got to see them a year before that. Semi-promising tracks off their new (at the time) disc 'Brave New World' included the title track, "Ghost Of The Navigator" and "Dream Of Mirrors". Sound and picture quality here are top notch. Of course, we also get to thoroughly soak in plenty of that good 'ol classic Maiden like "The Trooper", "The Evil That Men Do", one of my personal Maiden favorites - the awesome "Number Of The Beast", "Hallowed Be Thy Name" and the '80's metal foot-stomper "Run To The Hills". For me, one of the most memorable scenes on this DVD is during the song "Iron Maiden", when vocalist Bruce Dickinson bonds with several ... Read More:

I owned this album when it was first released- Anyone`s Dsughter is not the correct title- It was "Farmer`s Daughter", and I believed the name got changed because one lyric were considered very profane at that time. I quote, "Now they`re be no food and water- because I`ve laid the Farmer`s Daughter". End of subject

The Cult seem to still have a name for themselves and haven't been forgotten by rock fans, even though they broke up in 1995. Their songs are still on the air. Pure Cult:The Singles is a greatest hits compilation of of the band's biggest and best singles throughout those years. Who doesn't remember the emotional "Fire Woman" or the hard-hitting rockin' tune "Love Removal Machine"? I used to dance to that song many of times hanging out in the clubs.
Singer Ian Astbury's voice is very energetic and has an intense emotion all on it's own -- he wails and screams from song to song. The band's style was rock n roll, but in a slightly electronic new wave style. The album also features the songs:"She Sells Sanctuary" filled with loud rock guitars with an interesting ... Read More:

I'll keep this short and sweet, this album is the best of Judas Preist peroid. Can I also mention this is possibly and of course argubly the best heavy metal album of all time. This should be mentioned in the same breathe as any Ozzy and Sabbath album, any Maiden album, and Master of Puppets as well. Legendary band at their best.....

I picked this remastered version up last week, after not having heard the album itself in almost twenty-five years. To put it simply, I was completely ROCKED by it. I had let Hell Bent For Leather get neglected in my beloved Judas Priest collection, mostly because I felt the recording had way too thin a sound and a weak production quality overall. The songs mostly sounded WAY better live.
My listening to the remaster completely changed my mind. From the quintessential Judas Priest ruckus of "Deliverin' The Goods", to the what-if-Led-Zeppelin-had-any-real-balls pound of "Evil Fantasies", this album wipes out most everything that existed for Rock and Metal at that time. Sure, "Highway To Hell" overall rocked harder, and Scorpions' "Lovedrive" had more than a couple of equally ... Read More:

This is arguably the best live album ever made containing the best of Deep Purple in their prime. It has great track selection and plays like a greatest hits album on steroids. I remember this was one of the first vinyl albums I purchased as a kid and I practically wore it out. Now digitally remastered my daughter and I love listening to this one in the car or at home. Higly recommended as one of the greatest albums of all time.

I'm a fan of 70's hard rock! I don't like 80's music at all. I hate that "big drum" sound! But if you ignore "big drum" sound on this album, this is still great album!

Iron Maiden, Killers, Number of the Beast, Piece of Mind, Power Slave, Somewhere in Time - 6 great releases within 8 years. Piece of Mind has Flight of Icarus, Die w/ your boots on, The Trooper and Where Eagles Dare - each classic Maiden. IM is the best live band in the world and Adrian Smith, Gers and Murray are three of the greatest guitar players in the world.
Release Date March 26, 2002
While this isn't "Number of The Beast" or "Powerslave", this is still a solid, better than average release from Iron Maiden. This was the first album that Maiden would incorporate guitar synths into their music. The synths add texture to them and make them more acessible. I'm not going to use the C word (commercial)because the songs are still very progressive and too long to be considered made for radio. Adrian Smith wrote alot of the material on here (Wasted Years, Stranger in A Strange Land, Sea of Madness) and it's obvious his song writing is more pop oriented incorporating sing along choruses and hooks galore. Pretty much after listening to this album it's not hard to see why he would do just one more album with Maiden before leaving the band for about a 10 year hiatus to go out on his own. His songwriting ... Read More:
