If only for the great bonus live disc. I am sure they could have just released the concert on its own and sold it out many times over. Like another reviewer suggested, this is even more thrilling than the El Mocambo concert disc, but they could've fixed that also by releasing the entire Mocambo show, un-edited. Setlists being similar, we probably don't need both, but heck, Elvis could release them anyway. A whole passel of live show releases would be nice, for that matter...
Docked one star only because the bonus material on the first disc has already been reissued.

Give 'em Enough Rope

Sandwiched between their two classic albums, their self-titled debut and London Calling respectively, The Clash's second album, Give `Em Enough Rope, often doesn't receive the credit it deserves. This is unfortunate as Give `Em Enough Rope contains many of their best songs. Musically, the album is closer to hard rock than punk in spirit as the guitars are louder and the songs are longer. Their lyrics are still razor sharp, particularly attacking drugs and terrorism. The opening "Safe European Home" is one of their best and features a great fade out and fade in (similar to Kiss' "I Love It Loud") that is very cool. "Tommy Gun" is even better and the band gives a spirited performance driven by the song's loud riffs and Topper Headon's furious drumming. ... Read More:

There are two major versions of the CD, one includes three bonus tracks total- "Blue Flashing Light," "20," and "Only Molly Knows." The other one includes just "Blue Flashing Light." I think "Blue Flashing Light" is meant to be a hidden track on all versions of the CD. It is not clear which CDs have the extra two and which ones do not. It's best for a seller to list the actual tracks on the CD in this case.

I remember when i first time I saw them on second stage of Loll. back in the day. I stumble upon them, the music they were playing was great. The following day the bought the tape. Now that dating me. anyway I had to add this cd to my collection finally. Good times.

Never in my life have i heard such a terrible album. First of all, it's annoying. Second of all, it's boring. It's not trendy, not unique...i can't find anything good about it. I picked it for $10 and i want my money back. I was hyped up about getting into Blur, hearing top stuff about them, but this was just a horrible experience. I'm not picky with music either...i barely throw back anything, and i listen to a huge variety of music including alternative rock, punk, ambient, electronic music, acoustic music, electronic music, doom/drone metal, jazz, blues, funk, rap, JEEZ the list goes on and i hope to never hear Blur again.

The clarity and balance in this remaster is worth replacing your old copy. I was not sure after reading other reviews, but rest assured you will have a new reason to play these albums over and over.

I've been a staunch Gorillaz fan since the first album, and have loved (and purchased) nearly everything they've put out. In my opinion, Demon days was the best album of 2005. That being said, this collection of B-sides is really below the bar that was set by its predecessor. A few of the new tracks are pretty catchy, the demo version of 'Don't Get Lost In Heaven" especially, but for the most part it's all fluff. The remixes are even more unremarkable, and in some cases just downright annoying. Though it's nice that they're giving you 13 new tracks on top of the 9 remixes, this album isn't song for song as worth your money as the B-side collection (G-Sides) that followed the first album, even though it only contained a handful of new songs. I hear older guys always complaining that they "don't make music like they used to." They always like to compare today's music with that which they grew up with, classic stuff from the 60's and 70's, where the music was a story, and the band made an album, not just a bunch of singles that were mashed together under the same title.

Well, this is an album, not just a bunch of singles, and it is a testament to the history and greatness of both Rock and the British Invasion.

Listening to "A Northern Soul" is a journey, reminiscent of Pink Floyd and the Moody Blues, wherein a story is told over the course of an entire album.
