A compilation of what I believe to be the Kid Amnesiac-era tour, considering that out of these eight songs, three are from Amnesiac and four are from Kid A. And really, that's all I can come up with about this album. It's certainly good, but it's only necessary for the converted. However, if you are converted, you'll find that there's a lot to like, including the huge reworking of "Like Spinning Plates", when it becomes a thoroughly beautiful piano ballad! Yes, that's right, it goes from some crazed, frigged-out avant-techno experiment to that! How did that happen? Well, however it happened, I like it. "Dollars and Cents" is also massively improved upon, removing the freaky noises and as such turning it into a somewhat great song. And the moody ... Read More:

How one magazine review stated that this was the worst album of 2000 astounds me. It is not their best effort, but compared to 99% of the bands out there it is amazing. Great hooks, great song structures, and great singing. Please listen to this album for what it is, and I promise you will love it.

As someone who never paid the slightest attention to Queen or Freddie Mercury, I was absolutely blown away when I saw portions of this concert on my local PBS station. So, I bought this disc from Amazon and I am very pleased to have it in my collection. It includes not only the wonderful concert in Montreal but also a second DVD with a fund raiser in London that is truly awe inspiring. I cannot recommend this too highly: if you are a fan you will love it. If you have never seen or heard of this group, you will become a fan!
Release Date April 03, 1991
This EP is great, don't get me wrong. But if you buy this EP expecting it to sound like Isn't Anything, or Loveless you're very much mistaken. This EP was released before MBV lost their minds (in a good way) and started playing around with the guitar sounds they would come to be known by. The songs are very well written, but they're more pop-rock and only shoegaze in spirit.
Release Date May 18, 1999
I'm a huge Radiohead fan and was very excited to finally buy this dvd, but I have to say I was disappointed. It hardly makes sense, the director jumps from scene to scene and when one of them is being interviewed a song is playing in the background, most of the time, so it is hard to concentrate on one thing. Sadly, it's pretty boring right from the start.
Release Date August 31, 1990
This EP (like most MBV EPs) was written and released prior to either of their albums. On Glider you can hear the band begin to develop their technique for out of this world "shoegaze" guitar tones, as opposed to a lot of their earlier EPs. If you're already a fan of Isn't Anything and Loveless this would be a good place to go next.

A lot of people hate this record and its predecessor, "Kid A". I mean, they really HATE them. I know Radiohead fans who threw them out after a week. That's understandable, if rather drastic. In the '90s, Radiohead were dependable for a great alternative rock anthem. They were good at it -- maybe too good. "Pablo Honey" is a good (not great) record and "The Bends" is better still. But when "OK Computer" hit, everyone went crazy. It got saddled with "Best Album of the Decade" tags. It mixed Radiohead's established strengths with considerably better lyrics and just enough experimentation to please those who were bored with the more conventional formulas of the band's previous two albums. No doubt about it, "OK Computer" is a master piece of an album. It's rare that a record ... Read More:

It is a pleasure listening to the music that meant so much to my circle of friends "back in the day".
Traffic was one of those bands that played a major supporting role in the days of Vietnam, demonstrations and turmoil.
Release Date June 03, 2008
I'm not usually a big fan of "best-of" compilations, and this Radiohead retrospective explains why. EMI released Radiohead: The Best Of in June, 2008 without any input from the band after it quit the label, and without any songs from In Rainbows. As a result, there are "no surprises" here. The compilation includes singles, album tracks, and one b-side the band released from 1992 to 2005 while Radiohead was with EMI. Because this disc was not sanctioned by the band, one wonders what tracks Radiohead itself would have selected for its first compilation, or whether such an innovative band would have ever released a retrospective package of greatest hits. While this disc offers an excellent introduction to Radiohead at its most radio-friendly, it is basically irrelevant to longtime ... Read More:

Easily one of the best soundtrack compilations ever put together. It's a perfect narrative for the forgotten, drug-infused, rock-bottom, greasy nightmare most of us have never lived through. In the end you'll have an incredible urge to rinse off in the shower.
