This CD really grew on me. When I listened to it for the first couple of times, I liked it okay, enjoyed the snippets of dialogue, but wasn't overwhelmed. Then a couple days later I punched it up on my iPod to listen to on my morning commute. And I can't seem to stop listening to it. The songs flow so gorgeously into one another that they create a great aural picture of America.

I guess it's too much to hope for a second and third volume of this CD, to incorporate the songs from the other two seasons. But if there were, I'd buy them in a heartbeat.

Until now the only official video recording available of Roy Buchanan is in VHS form FURTHER ON DOWN THE ROAD-ROY BUCHANAN, ALBERT COLLINS, LONNIE MACK. There are other unofficial recordings of Roy Buchanan performing if you are fortunate to acquire them.

I have never seen an artist like Roy Buchanan play blues guitar like him. Original and plays with such emotion that it can be felt by the listener. I can only compare Mr. Buchanan's uniqueness to Edward Van-Halen' s unique way of playing rock guitar.

The 1980's really was the golden age of music videos. It was so much different then. Most teens didn't own that many albums. Albums were expensive if you were a kid living at home with your parents, and no one could download songs from the internet. Most kids watched MTV all day. These songs represent a more peaceful time to me. Ronald Reagan was President, and the Cold War between America and the former Soviet Union was coming to an end. Most of these are love songs. All of them were hits during the 80's. I always assumed that many American singers were influenced by punk rock. Punk-rock bands were popular in Britain. When I first read about Eric Lindell in Relix, I wasn't too sure what to expect, but I ordered it from Amazon anyways. Since recieving the cd 2 months ago, I think I have listened to it almost every day. I'm so glad I decided to try it out. A few weeks later, I ordered his previous cd which was just as smooth sounding as the 2nd. Now I have both rotating in my truck everyday. I was thrilled when I saw that they were coming to a local bar. Seeing them live was such a treat. They sounded great live and were so laid back and social with the crowd. They took the time to speak and sign cd's and posters with everyone. As a huge chicago blues fan, and a even greater SRV fan, you truely get the best of both worlds. With the hundreds of blues cd, that I own, spanning from leadbelly to keb'mo, this cd holds a special place in my heart. This cd comes out just as SRV'S texas flood is released, and the rest they say is HISTORY. Every track on this cd ROCKS!!! A must for any true blues fan, and in my opinion, One of the top 5 cd for people new to the blues to start with. You will not be dissapointed, you will become an instant lover of the blues!

And when I got "Son Of" it is great. Bronx in Blue should be played in every school to educate our children about blues roots music. Of course, the original artists are great , however, I can understand Dion's interpretation and his performance is energizing. This is not 'sit-down'
music! He deserved the Grammy...
