Reading all these reviews, you've got a whole buncha people bashing on this CD because it's a dance album. Well, to all you that don't know Norman Cook, AKA Fatboy Slim is in fact a dance artist who produces dance music, don't go into this album expecting anything different. Mr. Cook is a genious and his singles time & time again are proven not only to be sucessful, but also timeless(aside from the tracks that the top 40 radio DJs get ahold of and cram down our throats a zillion times until we never wanna hear 'em again... Obviously, no one is going to like all the songs on a CD, but after a while some of the songs I originally didn't like grew on me. I preferred Oakenfold's CD over Fatboy Slim's.

i just recently got into electro but i found this album to be pretty good. i am not a hardcore jxl fan so i don't have much nostalgia about his previous albums. to be fair, it is not the most interesting electro that i've heard but i gave it five stars because i really believe it deservees a higher rating. i personally enjoy the "obnoxious" tunes and also the lo-fi synth parts because i love the grungy, buzzy, hip-hoppy electro. and that is exactly what this is. also, this seems to be a very danceable album. i liked it.

This one was another accidental find that pleasently suprised my musical pallet. This is one of those soundtracks that make you WANT to see the movie if you havnt seen it before (like myself). The Amazon samples dont really do it justice, but then again, 30 seconds of even the most beautiful of music isnt really going to give you a feel for how good something is. Cliff Martinez has some great talent hidden in him, I hope he gets to work on more stuff, because his sound is awsome!

Mushroom Jazz, Vol. 2

A lot of high praise for this second installment of Farina's infamous Mushroom Jazz series. I agree with all the notions that it is very smooth, but Mushroom Jazz, Vol. 2 is at best, an average compilation overall. There are not any dreadful tracks but on the other hand, the album features only mediocre acid jazz tracks.

A very novel and interesting choice on how Farina choses to mix this compilation, but all its high praise stops there for me. A nice album to fall asleep to or for winding down, but there are much better downtempo acid jazz albums out there that feature much more interesting tracks.

I keep finding myself putting this DVD back in over and over just to watch one of the funny and inspiring videos in this collection. Granted, several of them aren't worth the time wasted to watch to begin with (just to hear the music, which was the initial purpose of his videos IIRC), but several of them are just too good to watch once. Ones that come to mind are Ya Mama (for a GREAT laugh every time), Weapon of Choice, Demons, and Slash Dot Dash (need a wake up call?). Each are very well made and go with the music beautifully. I constantly come back to these videos more than ANY OTHER VIDEO I've ever seen.

Others, like Praise You, The Joker, Gangster Trippin', and borderline "That Old Pair of Jeans" took a great song and glued an awkward, goofy music ... Read More:

If you like Orlando style break beats, this is the CD you've been craving. This high energy compilation mixed by the Florida's "Bass Queen" made me want to jump out of my seat & start dancing. It's got the drum & bass feel only a central Florida Dj can deliver. Words can't explain how I felt after listening to this. It's like having an ear gasm!
