I have had this compilation CD for at least 3 years now and I STILL am not tired of it. I do not carry this CD with me when I travel because I enevitably end up driving 80 miles and hour, which, in my vehicle is emminently dangerous. What I know about techno and/or dance music would fill a thimble, but I can tell you when a song rocks, and that's what we have here.

Wow. It's been five years since the last review of this album.

This should not have happened. This album should have gone down as an all-time classic. Music like this comes along rarely and for you to miss it is just a shame.

I won't review the basics but just encourage you to read the 5 and 4 star reviews, should you somehow stumble upon this CD. All these others have done it better than I hope to do.

I had to leave this album behind when I moved back to the states from England, bringing with me only a MP3 copy of "Aisha" to remind me of it's presence. I had forgotten how great this thing was. Recently I was able to acquire a copy of it and it just blew me away.

Get it. Any way you can.

Baby's Got a Temper

So with their latest LP on the way they decided to release this single to wet our appetite (although this song is not on 'Always outnumbered Never outgunned)...the only problem was that 'BABY'S GOT A TEMPER" is not that great of a song. I will admitt that I enjoyed the Dub Mix, sort-of, andt he instumental has some replay value, but the lyrics were tireing and far from spot on, and the A Capella was a waste of a track...and the thing is that 'Outnumbered, Outgunned' is such a freaking awsome albulm that they could have churned out something better on the outset, you know, the stir up more excitment for their upcoming release. Oh well, whats done is done and their latest album has been out for a few months now. BUY THAT CD...much better than this mediocre attempt.

Okay, maybe I'm biased. John happens to be related to me. But I've been going to parties for over ten years, many some of the best in the world, specifically LA's own Moontribe gatherings. John has smashed it up and blown many of us away over the years at these parties. In response to the reviewer below, who hails from Flagstaff (read: unschooled trance head), and who claims trance mixer Steve Lawler's NuBreed CD a five star while ragging on Stephanie and Creamer's mix CDs without even listening to it, simply because they did it on a computer, should give you some indication of a warped perspective. I agree, mixing wise, this Kelley mix is not so tight. But he actually wanted to translate a live feel. His mixes shine on other mixes just fine, back when he was interested ... Read More:

This music is the result of influences from Bristol, Cuba, India, and wherever their inspiration takes them.

Okay, I have been a fan of Micro's for years and years, and in his first CD "Coast to Coast", you will find that Micro has definitly been at the top of the list of Dj's ever since he started out! I don't really care for the non-stop "Breakbeat" thing, but oh my Lord!!!! This CD will blow anybody away, I guarantee it!!!! In my opinion, this is when Micro loved to show what he could do, because there is a little bit of everything burried in this CD!! The CD starts beautifully working it's way into the hit "Acid or XTC", then simply blows you away!! Buy it, even if you don't like "Breakbeats"!

This was my first purchase from the Hed Kandi collection and I must say, I immediately fell in love. The first cd, Beach House, is the best, for Late Night Alumni is simply amazing. "Ever After" by R.S. Faber; "Put 'Em High" by Stonebridge; "Dancin" [2003 Remix] by Jessica Eve, Erick "More" Morillo, Jose Nunez, Harry "Choo Choo" Romero and "Stand Up" [Gambafreaks vs. Andrea T. Mendoza Mix] by Pussy Dub Foundation are sweet club beats you'll want to play over and over again. This truly is a must have for anyone with an appreciation for a sweet taste of kandi!

Outstanding music by Frank Popp. Several songs also appear on their disc "The Frank Popp Ensemble". I don't know which came first but they are both top notch. Quentin Tarantino is bound to find Business and Pleasure and use it for the theme song if he makes a James Bond type of spy movie. Beautiful jelling of Motown 60's and Groovin 70's
