If you liked the game at all then you wont be surprised with the soundtrack. Everything is straight from the game. I loved the game and couldn't wait to get my hands on the soundtrack. I noticed that there was a lot of music I didn't notice in the game but I dont always pay attention anyway. Beautiful

This is a very good CD; plenty of background music, and also interesting songs sung by the Japanese cast. I also like the two versions of "Talent For Love"/"Ren-Ai No Seinou" and "Ryo-Ohki's Theme."

I bought this soundtrack for my son and have to listen to it almost every day, but surprisingly, the music is really good. This is a very nice purchase.

After listening to this I am amazed at all the music in this series. It has the openings and the endings in extended forms, I think from the TV series. A must get if you are a Miyu fan.

I do not exaggerate, the music is definitely the best part of this anime. Though the art is very well done the story was disappointing on several levels. This review however, is about the music.
There are some amazingly beautiful tracks and some nicely exciting ones to balance the soundtrack. Choral, string and electric elements are all used to full potential. The final verdict? Buy the soundtrack, miss the anime.

I mainly bought this CD for track #6 (Samanosukesirabe). I don't own the game (it's not all that much fun), but I was drawn to the music. It's written in style of Japanese folk, interwoven with western classical, which results in beautifully flowing melodies, which rival the snootiest of film soundtracks. The only downside to this soundtrack is the large amount of filler - about 50%, if not more (filler is characterised by two-minute tracks of (mostly) ambient noises). Nevertheless, the first half - or so of the disc contains some great music that has to be heard. Do yourself a favor and check it out - if you like Classical music, or sountracks in the genre of LOTR, you'll probably like this CD.

First, let it be known that I don't usually buy anime soundtracks. With the exception of a few of them (such as the excellent Noir), most anime music composed doesn't click with me. Usually anime tracks seem way over the top - which throws me out of the song. Many are comprised with cheesy J-pop lyrics or it just feels like the music doesn't have emotional impact.
Then came Yoko Kanno and Hajime Mizoguchi with the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra. Wow. This is a must have for any fan of music, whether you like anime or not. This isn't just different, it's in a unique class of its own. The music demands attention and delivers. It's worth every penny. Hats off to everyone involved in this production. It's one of the best soundtracks I've ... Read More:

My grandchild picked this out for me to read last night and I had almost forgotten what a wonderful book it is. It has a mystical beauty about it that you can't explain but you feel it nevertheless. The artwork is perfect just like all of Van Allsburg's books. He's my favorite children's book author. The movie is another thing. Where the book is mysterious and beautiful and somehow captures the wonder and awe of the Christmas season, I think the movie is just creepy--the addition of stereotyped ethnic characters was all contrived and wrong.

Another Disney Soundtrack CD with some star names doing rare songs to draw a collector in. I'm not a fan of Disney music, but I had to have the song by Ruth Pointer being a major Pointer Sisters fan. STREETS OF GOLD is really a pretty good song . Same could be said for the Billy Joel song, and the Huey Lewis song isn't bad. But Bette Midler's is a sickeningly sappy piece of Broadway schtick where Bette lays on the sweetness so heavy it made me get my soundtrack to THE ROSE out as an antidote. It's such schmaltz that made me cringe listening to this awfully bad song. Bette even tries to approxmate sound effects during this song " produced " by Barry Manilow. Fittingly, it's followed by a song sung by a young girl, and at least she's of age for such sweet ... Read More:
