A nice song from Sarah Brightman with Chris Thompson. Not a brilliant song, but easy on the ears. Sarah fans will enjoy it a lot.
Track 02 is an instrumental version.
Release Date August 20, 1996
This is NOT the orginal game score for Vectorman. If you want the original, this will not satisfy. It is an interesting remix.
Release Date June 01, 2004
This soundtrack is masterfully written, reminiscent almost of Mahler with some interesting electronics and ambient styling mixed in. There are a few tracks that are weaker than others, mainly the Russian themes...but there's not a single track without something interesting to offer.
The inclusion of two tracks from the first game is well-conceived, and satisfying. It's nice to feel the thematic/emotional progression from the first, while still being able to clearly see that the strengths from the first soundtrack were all improved on and featured in different ways here. There's no lyrics other than in the first song, which sounds very appropriate and authentic.
Overall, a fantastic score that sucks you in from the first track. ... Read More:

After listening to this album, I'm a Dolce Triade fan! I must however admit that the first album eclipses the second, so if you're on a tight budget, stick with the first album.

There is abviously a butt-load of talent and money behind this soundtrack. But it's married with very little originality. I will say that the score works extremely well within the gameplay itself with plenty of bombast and a few quieter, reflective pieces, but there's really nothing that hasn't been heard before.
I'd be tempted to point a curious game soundtrack collector to the "Mass Effect" OST (although, it does have an admitedly anemic 3-note main theme, but hey, "Jaws" did pretty well on 2!) which has a more inspired take on the melding of 80's electronic work (think "Tron", "Bladerunner", "Escape From New York") and orchestral elements. Or maybe even check out "Before Crisis - Final Fantasy VII" OST, and although not technically a game soundtrack ... Read More:

I really don't even like techno or club mixes that much but I have to say that this is a pretty good CD that may get you into this type of music. The sound quality is a few steps above what I expected, you can hear it very clear. It has nice bass and it has a lot of music you could play to keep hyperactive company entertained. I also was expecting a few other tracks that I heard in the Lain series but this will do but you are better off getting the import.

If you enjoyed the games and the anime as much as I did then this is a great one to have. Lots of tracks! And there's still the Lefthead O.S.T. to buy!
Release Date May 11, 2004
I have so many Yoko Kanno records at this point that I have to ask myself whether I judge the soundtracks to things I've seen differently than the ones I haven't. Her Cowboy Bebop work remains my favorite of hers, but maybe that's just because I've seen the show.
I haven't seen Arjuna. I don't even know what it is. All I can tell you is that the music is solid. Yoko Kanno can, when she's on her game, achieve total mastery of any style of music she chooses, from jazz to classical to blues to techno. This record doesn't have the same emotive power of Cowboy Bebop (though perhaps if I'd seen Arjuna I'd feel differently) but it's still by any standard an excellent and remarkably varied soundtrack. But Yoko Kanno fans will find themselves on somewhat familiar ground ... Read More:

This was a great soundtrack. I have been looking for this sound track for years. Someone told me to check on Amazon as they have everything. I looked on Amazon and it was there. I love it.

I had to quit playing FFXI during my first years in college due to the demands of "real life". This CD soundtrack is great in reminding me of the good ol FFXI days. For those of you who miss playing the game but cannot afford to keep playing it, this CD will do the job of taking you down memory lane.
