I should start off by saying I've never been the biggest NIN fan. I've heard a decent amount of their music, and I've always liked them but they just never stuck with me. With Teeth seemed a bit like the sellout point to me, and I didn't pay attention to them for awhile. When I heard The Slip was free on their site, I eagerly downloaded it, and I've gotta say it's absolutely AMAZING! With the exception of Corona Radiata (which I'm sure will grow on me soon), there is not a dull moment with The Slip, and I plan to order Ghosts I-IV ASAFP.

Update: I forgot how depressing NIN is. Listening to it makes me feel like bashing my skull in, but it's such amazing music that I CAN'T TURN IT OFF! Also, With Teeth doesn't seem as bad now.

I bought the album, threw it into my car cd player and haven't stopped playing it yet - it's on permanent rotation! There isn't a bad song on the album. The lyrics this band writes, as promised, are great and the instruments back them up. Wow! Can't wait to get all their albums now. Heavy, fun, thoughtful, what metal should be in 2008.

All I can say is, wow. This is a phenomenal record and you're really missing out if you skip it. The last 3 songs alone are worth it even if "knocked up" doesn't put you in a trance; it's dang near hypnotic for me. Great stuff!!

I first listened to this disc years ago. I have always liked the sound of this music and her voice. It is a great disc in my opinion. I cant really explain it completely but I just like this music. Thats all I have to say.

Like most folks, I've taken to picking up a track or two from each release. After hearing a couple of Carll's tracks I bought the plastic. So great, I picked up the plastic on his previous album "Little Rock" just a week later. This is what country should be. Fans of Bobby Bare Jr will find a lot to like in Carll's songs.

A solid attack sucker punch of flavored, offbeat hardcore came with the Armenian-american groups debut combining relentless hostility, eccentrically powerful vocals, melodic transcendence, and a dash of old-world flavor to boot. It's no wonder the band immediately stood out in a genre all but known for it's generic torment. Not all of the album works properly; the songs eventually tend to bleed together, at worst into a type of pummeling oddball metal gimmickry, but a distinct mark upon their craft hinted at an important career to come.

I must admit that I am NOT a fan of Sigur Rós! I lived in Iceland when the concert in Reykjavik went off and I was bored. Some may say I was negligant - but that was just the way it was at that time.
Then I was recommended this DVD. I was very sceptical at first and it took me a long time to get my hands on it.
Reluctantly I put it on - and was blown away.
This "movie" is simply amazing. It is photographed in an amazingly beautiful way and SR's soundtrack is absolutely perfect.
The landscapes of Iceland filmed in a special blue hue is just captivatving and it stresses the mood of the film, the country, the stories and... everything Iceland!
