This is a great collection of songs , but it's missing five hits from there album One hot minute , including Aeroplane and many other's , i guess the reason there not on here is because none of the band members were fond of Dave Navarro , which means that is why they didn't include the five hits on here , i guess they don't care if we like them.

This really is an exceptional CD. In my opinion "Fallen" is a must own. Unfortunately, I think they raised the bar so high that it will be impossible for them to ever reestablish the magic to create another CD of this caliber. The membership realignment certainly didn't help the cause for the second CD.

Albums like this are why people download illegally. What is played on the radio is tantamount to false advertising. Shame on me for not listening to the sample clips, but it was purchased as a gift... Very disappointing.

Sun Giant EP

I listen to this band way too much. It's been months since Sun Giant was released and I still listen to it practically every day. Fleet Foxes are like no other band out there, despite the many easy comparisons that could be (and have been) made. Though one could write it off as easy listening, it ain't easy or dumbed down music.

Like anything really good, you might not be sure you like it at first, but it gets better with each listen. They may be in "acquired taste" territory for some, but if you like folk or folk-rock or any of their modern indie descendants, you should check them out.

Disturbed is one of the few bands to come out of the past decade without a normal, formulaic, and drab sense of style. So many metal bands have come out, and most of them sound the same with little improvement or with any real unique qualities. In short, most have been entirely forgettable. What I like about Disturbed is that they're hard-hitting, intense, enraged, and if you listen closely enough to the lyrics, Disturbed. The lyrics really tend to be about insanity, anger and pain-filled rages. Maybe this really applies to The Sickness (I still haven't listened to Believe completely), but much of what I like about them translated well into this effort. The Very Best of Prince

First off, I admit to being a huge, long-time Prince fan. That being said, it's pretty hard to argue that this 'Very Best of' isn't a jammin' collection.
Starting off with 'I Wanna Be Your Lover' and working its way through 'Money Don't Matter 2 Night', this album (can I still use that word?) is a timeline of Prince's fun, sexy, rockin', jammin', preachin' career from "For You" (although no tracks off that first album are included) through "Diamonds and Pearls". And even though there are numerous tracks any fan might want to add to the mix, most all of the included tunes are vital to a 'hits' collection. (I might let you argue that tracks 13 and 17 could have been replaced with better choices, but that's the most slack I could cut. ;-)

I was fortunate enough to catch this band on a whimsical craving to see and hear some live music. There were about thirty people in the bar, but you wouldn't have thought the band new that, they rocked as if they were playing to a stadium full of people. From that experience I purchased the Autumn Effect, which has become a staple in my iPod rotation. Simply put, what an awesome album.
I was starting to get upset at 10 Years for not getting in the studio and getting the next album completed, but now that Division has finally been released, thank you guys for taking the time. Velocifero

I continue to be impressed by Ladytron and the consistent quality of their recordings. "Velocifero" is very similar in sound to "Witching Hour", but in my opinion more consistent and catchier. No, it does not break any bold new musical ground or mark a different direction. But why should it? There's plenty of room for a high-quality album of 13 hook-laden tracks full of signature electro beats and fuzzy riffs. I'd be hard-pressed to name a dud song on here and equally hard pressed to pick my favorite, although I do find the novel duet "versus" that closes out the album careening through my head the most. If you enjoyed "Witching Hour" you have nothing to fear from "Velocifero".

I bought this CD last week and have really enjoyed regaining some of my youth. I have 2 little ones and this album is mellow enough to share with them. I thought this collection could have easily included another CD. (Where's "Crush with Eyeliner" and "Shiny Happy People"?) I want more to give this 5 stars! I completely enjoyed reading the liner notes - there is a little blurb about each song. The "What's the Frequency, Kenneth?" background info was a little before my time, so I found it interesting to learn about it's story. I have most of these albums on tape (dating myself), but it was nice to have the best all in one place. A good collection for any R.E.M. fan, if only for the liner notes.
