Lame lyrics makes CD torture to listen to. Songs on the CD sound childish.
For example, "I woke up this morning with a funny taste in my head.
Spackled some butter over my whole grain bread.
Something tastes different, maybe it's my tongue.
Something tastes different, suddenly I'm not so young."

This is a great collection of songs , but it's missing five hits from there album One hot minute , including Aeroplane and many other's , i guess the reason there not on here is because none of the band members were fond of Dave Navarro , which means that is why they didn't include the five hits on here , i guess they don't care if we like them.

Pure metal heads may again call me a poser - I'll take you in the pit regardless.
This may be Disturbed's best. It has everything I love about the band, and it works excellently. Rhythms change up in each song, building on one another, which is marked departure from simple verse-chorus-verse-bridge-chorus-end structures that classic progressive rock is known for.
Each track stands as a message, a work and an effort in its own right. Tracks on "The Sickness" are memorable for vocal dexterity and riff. Tracks on "Believe" are memorable for content and a sharp/flat resonance that almost shakes you on first hearing it. Tracks on "Ten Thousand Fists" you will know by the coalescing of instrument into harmony with a precision ... Read More:

Although I didn't love Here We Stand when I first heard it, it definitely grew on me, and I consider it just as good as their first album. "A Heady Tale", "Look Out Sunshine!", and "Tell Me A Lie" are especially good.

I bought this CD last week and have really enjoyed regaining some of my youth. I have 2 little ones and this album is mellow enough to share with them. I thought this collection could have easily included another CD. (Where's "Crush with Eyeliner" and "Shiny Happy People"?) I want more to give this 5 stars! I completely enjoyed reading the liner notes - there is a little blurb about each song. The "What's the Frequency, Kenneth?" background info was a little before my time, so I found it interesting to learn about it's story. I have most of these albums on tape (dating myself), but it was nice to have the best all in one place. A good collection for any R.E.M. fan, if only for the liner notes.

I don't know I thought the Simple Minds cover was better than Simpleminds bare this in mind Keith Forsey cowrote the #1 worldwide hit single, "Don't You (Forget About Me)with Billy in mind in the first place.
if you already own Greates Hits and are considering getting this for the extra tracks, don't! All the first 14 track are the same then you get the tracks "speed", "world comin down" which is confusing to me since this wasn't a single, the single "Scream" would have been much better choice "World Comin Down" to me sounds like some pathic 50 year-old doing a cheesy wanna-be Greenday tribut song, hey I just call them the way that song sounds to me, I'm not trying to bash Billy I love Billy. Honestly Do yourself a faviour and buy the three unavailable ... Read More:

To anyone who has drifted away from Aimee Mann in the past few years, this is the time to give her another chance. If you loved any of her first three albums, but felt bored by LOST IN SPACE or indifferent to THE FORGOTTEN ARM, her new album @#%&*! SMILERS will restore your faith. No, she's still not writing rockers, but she's given her arrangements a much-needed shake-up. Electric guitars have been banished, replaced by old-school synths and some rooty-toot-toot horns. After two albums where the songs all seemed to blend into one another, several songs are stand-outs: "Borrowing Time," "31 Today," "The Great Beyond," "Little Tornado" and "Ballantines" are highlights. She still avoids rocking out, and a couple of songs (like "True Believer") just beg for a faster, ... Read More:

Just when you might be thinking the singer/songwriter genre might be dwindling someone like Kerli comes along and proves it's still thriving.
Kerli is completely original, yet she's also kind of a mish mash of artists. At one point (Love is Dead) she sounds like she's channeling her inner Dolores O'Riordan. Then another time she sounds similiar to newcomer Charlotte Sometimes. And that's just vocally! Figure in the fact that she has an insane range of music to back her and you know you're in for a listen you won't soon forget.
What really separates Kerli from the rest of her singer/songwriter peers? Seems as though they focus more on lyrics. Kerli, however, more or less seems to just be having fun. Her lyrics are pretty good but I like the ... Read More:

This cd is great. It's fresh, new, invigorating, original, and fun. Personally, I love it for upbeat workout music. If you like M.I.A., check out Santogold as well.
