I had a smile from ear to ear once Zac piped up and let rip into a barrage of rhymes, the music is very simplistic and grooves along nicely to fit Zac's style. Recommended for Rage fans

I, like most people I imagine, first heard about She & Him b/c I'd seen Zooey in a film. As I listened to the first 8 tracks on myspace I was struck with how unique she is vocally. In a time when most artists have their vocals run through compressors and equalizers and a number of other applications to make them sound as smooth as possible it is refreshing to hear (what I suspect) is a pretty straight forward performance. When I finally downloaded the entire album from Amazon I was even more blown away with how the album progressed. Simply amazing. I would have loved to hear more from M. Ward vocally, but I don't think his lack of vocals on here takes away from the awesomeness of the album.

Somehow I slept through the grunge rock movement in the 90s and missed this. I vaguely remember hearing PJ back then wondering how people could listen to this and call it music. Years later, I was exposed to the alternative rock music genre and "got it."

If you missed the boat, this is a great way to get into PJ's music and get a sampling of their hits from different albums. Some of these hits are lovely acoustic songs or blistering electric songs you can really rock to. To improve things, you get some remastered hits and get a much better listening experience than you would ever get from the original recordings.

If I really could get what I wanted, I would want a remastered PJ "Ten" album, which I think is the best PJ album. Until ... Read More:

Bought this album a few weeks ago after hearing Re: Tracks online, and it is by far one of the most beautiful albums I've ever had the pleasure of hearing. I can listen to this cd over and over, no matter what kind of mood I'm in. There is an ebb and flow to the track progression that gently kind of pulls you along with the emotions in each. Justin's lyrics are bizaare and heartbreakingly intense in the best way imaginable. He melts words into chords and vice versa. The more you listen, the more you become totally immersed in the "excavation" he ultimately achieved in writing these tracks. My first go at the album in it's entirety led me to a deep place within myself that I hadn't visited in a long time, but as I listen more and more, I'm finding a light in the songs ... Read More:

I'm usually very hesitant purchasing an album based off one song when the genre (rap in this case) isn't one I usually listen to. Generally speaking, I'll love the one song and not listen to the rest of the album. In this case, though, I'm glad I broke my rule and picked up Fight With Tools because "Handlebars" isn't the only terrific song on this album.

Flobots reminds me of a couple different bands. They have hints of the politically charged Rage Against the Machine, but are more optimistic. There's the hornwork and a tinge of punk of some 90s ska bands, like Real Big Fish, only more hard-biting. There's the meticulous and nicely flowing rap like a lot of hip-hop artists today, only with more important things to say. But not only are there specific inspirations ... Read More:

I have to say that if ur a hard core rocker Three Days Grace is the band for you. There second cd release "One X" is a very powerful cd filled with lots of hits. I have to say this is one of my favorite cds in my collection. Songs like Pain, Animal I've Become, and Never Too Late are very lyrical, emotional, and filled with hard core messages. If u ever felt pain, isolated,etc. u can relate to this Band. Adam and the gang know how to do their music. Yes, their debut self titled album was a success but "One X" will mark these guys into mainstream stardom. It's a must buy!! You'll enjoy.
