An absolute dream. A wonderful musical feast from a very gifted songstress. Buy this record. The perfect mix of pop, soft rock, folk, jazz and yes, even disco. It's a perfect 10. The Reminder isn't bad either, but you want to start with this, and most likely you will stick with this...like I did.

The only good song on the cd is the one they play on the radio..a couple songs were just plain bad...very disappointing. I was expecting more.

Having heard the two most popular albums by Nickelback, SILVER SIDE UP and ALL THE RIGHT REASONS, I decided to buy this one as well because I knew a few of the songs on it and remembered that I didn't have this one yet. I wasn't sure if I was going to like it, but after listening to it a few times I decided this is their best album of the three that I've heard. It's the closest to perfect I've ever heard on a post-grunge album.

I thought SILVER SIDE UP was too heavy on the guitars and all of the songs sounded too similar, and I thought ALL THE RIGHT REASONS was a better album but sounded too forced for the mainstream. The instrumental background for each song is terrific.

Sharlett Johansson has a low-register voice (a hint of Cher),
with a range that allows some high notes. The songs are not
particularly upbeat, but entertaining.

It is a reflective mood, and an album I have listened to
many times. (Many albums are once-only).

I enjoy the album.

I absolutely love 5 songs on the new album, and the rest I'd rate as good-average. I like the concept, the production, the sound and the musicanship. Lyrics are often very witty and funny. My 5 favorites are: The Poor House; She's Lookin' Better By The Minute; I'm Watchin' the Game; That Mountain; Propinquity. These are all excellent!! The Kids Are All Right cover is nice, too.

This can be played on one side as a cd and the other as a dvd, but we just play it in our car and it has a hard time reading the cd. The music is excellent though.
