My grandson does not just fall asleep when I'm watching him. He is either teething or just plain fussy at times. I had just bought Enya's Paint the Sky with Stars and decided to play it for him. It instantly calms him down as he really pays attention to the music. In a very short time, he is peacefully sleeping. I've tried other music, including classical. It just does not relax him. I absolutely love her music! When I'm trying to do homework, I used to listen to classical music because there were no words to interfere with my concentration. When I listen to Enya, I don't have that problem. I'm totaly focused and able to accomplish a lot!

I'll keep this short and to the point. This is another great Walkmen album. If you liked previous Walkmen albums you'll like this one (although I wasn't too mad on Pussy Cats). I find it takes about four listens to get into it, then the true depth of the record reveals itself. This isn't a record you'll throw away in a month or two, this is a record that persists. Enjoy - and as with many other Walkmen records, this one really shines on a proper stereo as opposed to headphones in traffic. Captivating...

Marc Broussard has an amazing voice and a good songwriter. He doesn't disappoint on this new CD either. I had the opportunity of seeing him live at the Crocodile Cafe in Seattle and was just as impressed with his live performance.

I loved this CD. I watched the show on HBO and it brought back a lot of funny memories.
It may not be as funny to those who haven't seen the show.

The hauntingly beautiful voice of Sarah MacLachlan, along with the beautiful words and melodies make this an A-one CD. The song "Angels" is my favorite, and I listen to it over and over again.

The fact that this guy would probably be a hit with John Mayer fans is a blow to this guy, since John Mayer is easily one of the worst hacks making music (no, muzak) today. I was hinted to call this guy a slightly more interesting John Mayer with an acoustic guitar. Sure, it's not deep music, it won't start anything, but it's breezy, chill music (not muzak, thank god). It's definitely worth getting.
The sound of Jack Johnson is a good one, it will definitely relax you. It's a very chill album, but it's soothing and makes you feel good, than rather making you feel drowsy, bored, and wanting to rip your hair out. Jack Johnson plays smooth, sharp, refreshing melodies on the guitar, and his very cool voice floats together. The rhythm section really ... Read More:

Nirvana is synonymous with the early-`90s rock scene, and even in 2008, their legacy lives on with Nevermind, the album that catapulted the band to international stardom and poster-boy status. For the next three years following its release, Nirvana enjoyed unending popularity and multi-platinum record sales up until Cobain's unfortunate suicide in 1994.
But, going past the near-worship the album receives from so many corners of the music industry, is it really such a great album?
Well, the answer is somewhere in the middle. The first five songs really shine, these including the famed hits "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and "Come As You Are". Here Cobain's talents for writing melodies and hooks that, despite his constant hate towards fame, only ... Read More:

I listened to Bad Girlfriend while getting a tattoo this summer and thought it was a fun song and wanted to hear more Theory so I bought this album. It's fun summer music and beyond. Not heavy death metal but a good outgrowth of 80's metal for those of us that were there. The lyrics are kind of all over the place...half the album is about love lost and the other about love found and that's pretty annoying but the tempo stays jammin' and you'll really enjoy it. I liked this album much better than their previous ones.

This is one of the best concert films I've ever seen. Reed performs his sad, sad album 'Berlin" for the first time ever. The sound quality surpasses the album because there is a girls' choir, a horn section and a string section to fill out the sound as well as two fine background singers. And the returnees are no slouches either. Guitarist Steve Hunter from the original album (and, incidentally, Reed's live album "Rock and Roll Animal") rips astonishing solo after solo like a true guitar hero, and also provides tasty fills and riffs when required. Reed himself plays better rhythm guitar than on the original, and though his voice isn't what it used to be, you can see the pain in his face as he recalls the experiences that inspired the songs. Throughout, Schnabel ... Read More:

Nights in Rodanthe Soundtrack: When I received an email that included the trailer for the movie, I watched it, and loved the music that was playing in the background of the video. Thinking it was included in the movie soundtrack, I ordered the CD. I enjoy the music on the CD, especially the Emmy Lou Harris song, but the music that was used as background to the video trailer is NOT ON THE CD. I've looked and looked and can't find it anywhere. The song starts out "I never thought that I could ever . . ." and the phrase "everything will change" is repeated. Does anyone know who performs this song, why it wasn't included in the soundtrack recording, and where I can buy it?? Please respond to jjamros@msn.com. Thank you.
