I love Jewel. Always have. However, I don't find it necessary that she pick up on the cheesier aspects of country to create a new gimmick for herself. She's fine the way she is. I like the CD still, but I don't feel like adding a generic twang to your folk sound makes you a genuine country artist.

I bought this DVD mainly to listen and view my Chicago favorites. They open the show with EWF and start off with Beginnings which has been one of my all time favorite Chicago songs if not the all time favorite. It almost goes downhill after that. I would have not chosen to open the show with that song. That one should have been at the end or on one of the encores. Nonetheless, they play a couple of other songs together than they break off. EWF gets to play first and then Chicago takes the stage and then they join together again as in the beginning. Earth Wind and Fire steal the show and they are tighter musically. Chicago sounds good but not as great as they can be. Overall I would give them an A-, EWF an A+, and together an A. I would recommend ... Read More:

I have to agree that it is was a lame choice to release the US version as a single-disc version. I'm sure there was some sort of business/marketing reason for the decision, but it is still a slap in the face for US customers.

According to Tori's web site, if you buy the physical cd or digital download from Amazon, you will be able to download the three missing tracks from the' 92 show for free. I don't see any mention of that on this page, though, so I'm a little reluctant to purchase it here.

This is a very good CD, never heard of Matt until I bought the Sugarland CD and Come on Get Higher was on it. Matt's is much better.

There are some fantastic songs on these cd but there are some repetitious ones that i could live without . I give it 4 stars because the fantastic songs are worth listening , even that this is the most Eric Clapton composition style Steve has written . Buy a used cd so you wount feel so bad that only the first 5 songs are worth it ...
Common Stevie , 2 cds to make one ? . I mean It's about Time and 9 Lives could be a really good one ... I will wait for Comming of Age ...

Last Days At the Lodge

On his new album Last Days at the Lodge, Amos Lee plays it all close to the chest. The melodies sound familiar, the lyrics sound familiar, and it all sounds like Lee is only half-interested in the songs he's singing. Many of the songs just sound tired and old hat. There are some exceptions, and his voice is still magnificent. I personally liked the songs Won't Let Me Go, and Kid, which is simple but inspiring. Overall, however, the album left me wanting more and missing his previous album, Supply and Demand.

Very good LP.
Each song seems to be a character, along with a great storyline.
Bocelli's vocals are perfection, as usual, and wrapped within the walls of the other instruments, this LP is a perfect thing.
It is NOT necessary to understand the lyrics, the delivery does more than speak to you: It creates a mood that reflects the very love that went into the creation of this LP.
Great job and money well spent.
This LP will effect you on a visceral level, it is pure mood.

I have to agree almost word for word with Mr. Cadagan. Having been a fan of R. C. for a long time and have always awaited his new efforts, some hit, some don't, like most artist, this doesn't quite get there. His song writing is thoughtful and close to being thought provoking but not as vibrant as the last several efforts. I will have to say I like his uptempo releases the best. This comes close to putting me to sleep. Maybe I can find the right mood for it and maybe after a couple more listens it will grow but I have my doubts.
