I absolutly loved this cd. The way it's put together and the music is so much like Burt Barcharch was doing this himself. I love the collection of songs he chose for this cd they to me are the ones that stand out the most when I think of Burt Barcharch music. I listen to this many times in a day at work. It's the perfect music to work by and enjoy the soft sounds in the back round of the music.I reccomend this to any Barcharch admirers.

About 37 years ago this guy could play the hell out of a guitar. But ever since 'I SHOT THE SHERIFF', it seems that maybe he was hit in the head by a van or a bus. It is an opinion that some people do not prefer his song writing. It is a fact that he is no longer the same guitar player. For those who criticized this album for Kantner's vocals or not being the Jefferson Airplane of old, your opinions are rash. If you don't like Kantner's singing then never listen to Bob Dylan. Or if you can find a band exactly the same now as they were 40 years ago, please let us know. This album is just fine. It's mostly a folk album, the basics of what became the classic 60's sound, goes back to the days when the San Fran scene was still forming, well before stardom hit, unpretentious. Tree of Liberty may not be a classic, but it's refreshing. In a way it's reminiscent of Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's "Will The Circle Be Unbroken". This CD by Delta Goodrem is getting 4/5 stars from me because the artist has a great voice, and knows how to use it. But the songs all sound a little too manufactured to me. "In this life" is a catchy feel-good song, but that is about the only track that really stuck with me. Others tracks, like "one day" are downright nasty and always made me reach for the skip button.

A great voice won't be going anywhere without great songwriting, but I'm convinced she has a great future ahead of here. I just hope she doesn't become a one-CD wonder like some other Australian artists like Natalie Imbruglia.

This is a fabulous cd. I am amazed Lizz Wright is not more well known since she is so talented. This cd is sultry and bluesy (albeit a little mellow) which makes it a great cd to unwind with a glass of wine!

I was six years old, almost seven when The Bee Gees released this double album. I had the two records, and I was wondering about the packaging--how would the record company reproduce it for compact disc? I was a bit disappointed. It's the same threefold that the vinyl was, showing Barry, Robin and Maurice in all their 70's glory. However, the glue holding the seams together for the cds made it too snug for removing the cds. In the end, the glue came apart leaving Barry and Maurice open on one side so that the cds could more easily be removed. Oh well. I did like the poster on the inside. I don't recall that being in the original double lp as a kid.

A brilliant album which takes the Dixie Chicks in a slightly new direction musically, appealing not just to Country fans but across the whole spectrum.
All the fans will have a copy already but for anybody new to the band I would just say don't hesitate-this is sensational!
"Not Ready To Make Nice", especially if you know the history,must be one of the most powerful and evocative anthems of the last 30 years, up there with the likes of "Bat Out Of Hell" and "Total Eclipse Of The Heart".
This album marks the Chicks' first serious attempt at songwriting. If they can maintain the standard of "Not Ready..." it would put them on the level of the legendary Jim Steinman.

these are soft, stress relieving piano pieces including variations over classical orchestra pieces such as Pachelbel's canon in major transcribed for the piano. Put on this CD, lean back and close your eyes and you are in pleasent company for a CD's time. Only trouble is to avoid restarting the CD and lean back again!
